Emanuel Florendo opened to 225,000 from the hijack and Rancy Cyril Lee three-bet shoved for 1,710,000 from the small blind. Emmanuel called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Florendo had the start-of-day chip leader dominated and after neither player connected with the 3♦ T♠ 2♠ J♣ T♣ runout Lee’s deep run came to an end in sixth place while Florendo’s upward trajectory continued.

Emanuel Florendo opened to 125,000 from the cutoff and Rancy Cyril Lee called from the big blind. The flop came J♠ Q♣ 7♠ and Lee check-called a 200,000 bet from Florendo.

Lee check-called another bet from Florendo on the T♣ turn, this time for 500,000. On the K♠ river Lee checked, Florendo bet 300,000 and Lee called.

Lee had the bottom end of the straight with 9♣ 8♦ but Florendo had the top end of the straight with A♦ 9♥ to win the pot.

Rancy Cyril Lee limped in from the hijack, Emanuel Florendo raised to 120,000 from the small blind, Lemmor Patulot called from the big blind and Lee called.

All three players checked the Q♠ 5♠ 6♦ flop leading to the 5♥ turn. Florendo bet 125,000 and both opponents called. On the J♥ river Florendo checked, Patulot bet 405,000 and both opponents folded.

Lee check-called a 225,000 bet from Florendo on the Q♦ turn before both players checked the 6♠ river. Florendo had top two pair with Q♥ J♦ but Lee had a straight with T♥ 4♦ to win the pot.

Ko Okubo opened to 125,000 from under the gun and received calls from Rancy Cyril Lee in the hijack and a player in the big blind. The flop came 3♠ K♥ 8♦ and action checked around to Lee who bet 250,000. Only Okubo called.

The two remaining players checked the Q♣ turn and K♦ river. Okubo turned over a pair with T♣ T♦ and Lee mucked.

Ko Okubo limped in from the small blind and Rancy Cyril Lee checked from the big blind. The flop came 8♣ J♥ 2♦ and Lee called a 60,000 bet from Okubo.

Both players checked the 7♥ turn leading to the A♣ river. Okubo bet 130,000 and Lee called. Okubo had T♦ 5♥ for complete air while Lee had 9♣ 2♣ for bottom pair to win the pot.

Florendo continued for 250,000 on the T♣ turn and after using a time bank Lee called again. On the J♣ river Florendo checked, Lee bet 500,000 and Florendo called.

Lee had missed with A♥ K♦ while Florendo had a pair of nines with A♦ 9♣ to win the pot.

Shawn Philip Benitez shoved from early position for 545,000 and Rancy Cyril Lee called from the button with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Tan couldn’t overcome Lee’s aces on the 2♦ 8♠ 6♣ 9♠ 7♣ runout and he was sent to the rail.

Alex Gelev opened to 130,000 from early position, Rancy Cyril Lee shoved with a covering stack from the small blind and Gelev called, putting himself at risk.

Gelev had his opponent dominated and after remaining ahead on the 5♦ 2♦ 6♣ 4♥ 8♥ runout he secured the double up at Lee’s expense.

Rancy Cyril Lee opened to 85,000 from the cutoff, Janno Alvarez shoved for 760,000 from the button and Lee called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

The 2♠ 3♣ A♥ T♣ 6♦ runout gave Lee a pair of tens to end Alvarez’s deep run in 16th place.

Ko Okubo opened to 80,000 from middle position, Rancy Cyril Lee called from the hijack, Alex Gelev three-bet to 270,000 from the small blind and both opponents called.

Gelev shoved on the 4♥ Q♣ 9♥ flop and both opponents folded.

Taisuke Nina opened to 40,000 from under the gun and received calls from Rancy Cyril Lee on the button and a player in the big blind. The flop came 4♠ 3♣ 6♣ and action checked around to Nina who bet 50,000. Lee raised to 200,000, the big blind folded, Nina shoved for 515,000 and Lee called with a covering stack.

Nina was ahead with the higher overpair but Lee had additional outs in the form of a flush draw. The flush came in on the K♣ 2♣ runout and Nina was sent to the rail while Lee extended his lead over the rest of the field.

With three players seeing a board of 8♥ 9♥ T♠ 9♣ and 428,000 in the middle, John Clyde Tan checked from the small blind, a player from under the gun checked and Rancy Cyril Lee bet 200,000 from the button. Tan called while the under the gun player folded.

On the 7♣ turn Tan called, Lee shoved with a covering stack and Tan called with his remaining stack of 223,000. Tan had A♥ J♥ for a straight but Lee had T♣ T♥ for top boat to send Tan to the rail and continue adding chips to his stack.

Peter Da opened to 33,000 from early position, Rancy Cyril Lee called from middle position, a player in the hijack called and Ryan Tan shoved for 260,000 from the cutoff. Da re-shoved for 258,000 and Lee used a time bank before calling with a covering stack while the hijack got out of the way.

Da was the only player with a premium hand but the A♣ 9♥ 3♠ 3♦ 9♠ runout gave Tan two pair, aces and nines to triple up.

With two players seeing a board of T♣ J♣ K♠ A♦ and 238,000 in the middle Taisuke Nina checked and Rancy Cyril Lee bet 75,000. Nina shoved for 412,000 and Lee folded.

Seoha Lee opened to 30,000 from early position and Rancy Cyril Lee defended from the big blind. The flop came 4♠ 3♦ 5♥ and Rancy Cyril Lee check-called a 40,000 bet from Seoha Lee.

Rancy Cyril Lee check-called another bet from Seoha Lee on the J♣ turn, this time for 50,000. On the 9♣ river Rancy Cyril Lee checked, Seoha Lee shoved for 165,000 and Rancy Cyril Lee called.

Seoha Lee could only show K♦ Q♦ for a bluff while Rancy Cyril Lee had Q♥ 4♥ for just a pair of fours to eliminate Seoha Lee and continue adding chips to his stack.

Michael Gabby Concepcion opened to 16,000 from early position and received calls from Rancy Cyril Lee on the button and Michael Calunsod in the big blind. The flop came K♦ A♦ 7♣ and action checked around to Concepcion who bet 22,000. Both opponents called.

Concepcion bet 55,000 when checked to on the 6♥ turn. Lee folded, Calunsod raised to 110,000, Concepcion shoved for 201,000 and Calunsod snap-called with a covering stack.

Both players had top pair but Concepcion was ahead with a higher kicker. He remained in the lead on the Q♥ river to double up through Calunsod.

Junghyun Wolf An shoved from early position for 68,000, Rancy Cyril Lee called from the small blind and Nakayama Nobuaki re-shoved from the big blind for 236,000. Lee called with a covering stack to put both players at risk.

Nobuaki was in great shape with pocket kings and after remaining ahead on the 6♣ 2♣ 8♣ 9♥ 2♠ runout he dragged in a massive pot while sending An to the rail and making a small dent in Lee’s stack.

Rancy Cyril Lee limped in from under the gun, a player on the button limped behind and Masahiro Nakamura raised to 20,000 from the small blind and only Lee called.

The flop came T♦ 9♣ 2♦ and Lee called a 16,000 continuation bet from Nakamura.

Nakamura check-called a 50,000 bet from Lee on the 3♠ turn. On the 8♥ river Nakamura checked, Lee shoved with a covering stack and Nakamura, who had 140,000 behind, used two time banks before making the call for his tournament life.

Nakamura had second pair with A♣ 9♥ but Lee had two pair with T♥ 2♥ to eliminate Nakamura.

Four starting flights have come and gone and now the final day is upon us for the Manila Super Series 21 ₱18,500 Main Event here at Okada Manila. The Main Event attracted 703 total entries and 107 players have managed to make it to Day 2 where all players are now in the money.

Rancy Cyril Lee comes into the day with the chip lead after finishing Flight B with a staggering 804,000. Lee well ahead of his closest competitors JC Mariano (595,000) and Flight chip leader Ko Okubo (459,000). Flight D chip leader Kazuki Hane and Nina Taisuke round out the top five with 446,000 and 437,000 respectively.

Two previous Main Event winners remain in contention, albeit with short stacks. Jason Magbanua sits at 76,000 and will be chasing his second Main Event title here in Manila while Joemark Vasay comes into the day with 53,000 and will be aiming to spin that stack up towards a historic third Main Event victory.
