Okubo had an open-ended straight draw while Florendo was ahead with a pair of eights. The J♣ turn and 7♥ river were clean for Florendo and he took down the final pot of the tournament.

Ko Okubo limped in from the button, Emanuel Florendo raised to 360,000 from the big blind, Okubo three-bet to 850,000 from the button, Florendo four-bet shoved for Okubo folded.

Patulot check-called a 350,000 bet on the J♦ turn before both players checked the K♥ river. Patulot had 5♦ 4♦ for missed flush and straight draws while Okubo had T♦ 7♣ for just ten-high to win the pot.

Ko Okubo opened to 125,000 from under the gun and received calls from Rancy Cyril Lee in the hijack and a player in the big blind. The flop came 3♠ K♥ 8♦ and action checked around to Lee who bet 250,000. Only Okubo called.

The two remaining players checked the Q♣ turn and K♦ river. Okubo turned over a pair with T♣ T♦ and Lee mucked.

Ko Okubo limped in from the small blind and Rancy Cyril Lee checked from the big blind. The flop came 8♣ J♥ 2♦ and Lee called a 60,000 bet from Okubo.

Both players checked the 7♥ turn leading to the A♣ river. Okubo bet 130,000 and Lee called. Okubo had T♦ 5♥ for complete air while Lee had 9♣ 2♣ for bottom pair to win the pot.

Kunwoo DK Kim shoved for 175,000 from under the gun, David Erquiaga called from the small blind and Ko Okubo called from the big blind.

Okubo and Erquiaga checked the flop and turn leading to a final runout of A♠ 7♣ 4♥ Q♠ 8♦ . Erquiaga check-called a 75,000 bet from Okubo.

Kim had top pair with A♣ 5♣, Erquiaga had top pair with A♥ 6♥ but Okubo had two pair with 8♣ 7♦ to eliminate Kim on the final table bubble.

Shawn Philip Benitez opened to 120,000 from under the gun, Ko Okubo three-bet to 275,000 from the button, Benitez four-bet to 600,000 and Okubo five-bet shoved for 2,305,000. Benitez called with a covering stack to put Okubo at risk in a massive pot worth nearly 5,000,000.

Okubo had the best starting hand and remained ahead on the Q♥ 8♥ 4♥ 9♦ T♥ runout to score a massive double up through Benitez who was left with 11 blinds.

Ko Okubo opened to 100,000 from the hijack, Jason Ambata shoved for 480,000 from the button and Okubo called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Ko Okubo opened to 115,000 from under the gun, Ingeun Jho shoved for 720,000 from the small blind and Okubo called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Despite flopping the nut-flush draw Jho could not improve further on the 7♠ 8♠ 9♥ J♦ 4♣ runout and became the latest player to fall while Okubo took down another spot.

Ko Okubo opened to 80,000 from middle position, Rancy Cyril Lee called from the hijack, Alex Gelev three-bet to 270,000 from the small blind and both opponents called.

Gelev shoved on the 4♥ Q♣ 9♥ flop and both opponents folded.

With two players seeing a board of 3♦ 2♣ 4♠ 7♦ and 300,000 in the middle Emmanuel Florendo bet 100,000 from the cutoff and Ko Okubo called on the button.

Florendo checked the 4♥ turn and Okubo bet 275,000. Florendo used a time bank before calling. Okubo could only show a missed straight draw with T♥ 5♥ while Florendo had A♦ 6♠ for just ace-high to win the pot.

Ko Okubo opened to 65,000 from the hijack and Alex Gelev defended from the big blind. The flop came 2♥ K♦ 6♦ and Gelev check-called a 55,000 bet from Okubo.

Gelev led out for 30,000 on the T♦ turn and Okubo raised to 110,000. Gelev re-raised to 360,000 and Okubo called.

On the 5♥ turn Gelev shoved and Okubo folded.

Jason Ambata opened to 60,000 from the hijack, Emanuel Florendo called from the cutoff, Ko Okubo three-bet to 160,000 from the button and both opponents called. Florendo bet 200,000 when checked to on the 9♥ J♣ J♥ flop and both opponents folded.

Dmitrii Belikov shoved for 370,000 from the cutoff and Ko Okubo called from the small blind with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Okubo’s pocket tens held up on the 8♣ 3♣ 5♣ 7♠ 8♠ runout and he won the pot while Belikov was eliminated and exited the tournament area.

Darren Yu opened to 60,000 from under the gun leaving just 5,000 behind and Ko Okubo called from the cutoff. The flop came ah 3♣ A♦ and Yu shoved. Okubo called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Yu took the lead on the 8♣ turn but the 3♠ river improved Okubo to a full house to send Yu to the rail and win his fourth pot in a row.

In a preflop confrontation Jonald Garcia was all in from the big blind for 375,000 and up against Ko Okubo who had him covered from the small blind.

Garcia was in great shape to double up facing only one overcard to his pocket queens but the 4♠ 4♦ A♦ 7♥ 8♣ runout gave Okubo two pair, aces and fours to end Garcia’s run and win the pot.

Janno Alvarez opened to 55,000 from under the gun and Ko Okubo defende from the big blind. The flop came 2♠ K♥ 9♥ and Okubo check-called a 40,000 bet from Alvarez. The two players then checked the turn and river as the rest of the board ran out 8♥ 3♣ .

Okubo showed ace-high with A♥ 5♠ and Alverez mucked.

Lemmor Patulot opened to 23,000 from early position and Ko Okubo defended from the big blind. The flop came 5♣ 5♥ 9♠ and Okubo checked. Lemmor bet 18,000, Okubo check-raised to 42,000 and Patulot called.

Okubo continued for 20,000 on the 9♣ turn and Patulot called again. On the K♠ river Okubo shoved and Patulot, who had 95,000 behind, opted to fold.

Four starting flights have come and gone and now the final day is upon us for the Manila Super Series 21 ₱18,500 Main Event here at Okada Manila. The Main Event attracted 703 total entries and 107 players have managed to make it to Day 2 where all players are now in the money.

Rancy Cyril Lee comes into the day with the chip lead after finishing Flight B with a staggering 804,000. Lee well ahead of his closest competitors JC Mariano (595,000) and Flight chip leader Ko Okubo (459,000). Flight D chip leader Kazuki Hane and Nina Taisuke round out the top five with 446,000 and 437,000 respectively.

Two previous Main Event winners remain in contention, albeit with short stacks. Jason Magbanua sits at 76,000 and will be chasing his second Main Event title here in Manila while Joemark Vasay comes into the day with 53,000 and will be aiming to spin that stack up towards a historic third Main Event victory.
