David Erquiaga opened to 200,000 from the cutoff, Lemmor Patulot three-bet to 820,000 from the big blind, Erquiaga shoved with a covering stack and Patulot, who started the hand with 1,600,000, made the call for his tournament life.

The board ran out J♥ Q♥ Q♠ K♦ 4♦ giving Erquiaga two pair, kings and queens to end Patulot’s run in fifth place.

Jason Ambata picked up the blinds two more hands in a row, shoving from the cutoff and from under the gun respectively and finding no callers.

Okubo and Erquiaga checked the flop and turn leading to a final runout of A♠ 7♣ 4♥ Q♠ 8♦ . Erquiaga check-called a 75,000 bet from Okubo.

Kim had top pair with A♣ 5♣, Erquiaga had top pair with A♥ 6♥ but Okubo had two pair with 8♣ 7♦ to eliminate Kim on the final table bubble.

In a preflop confrontation Kei Shinagawa was all in for 605,000 and up against David Erquiaga who covered him from the cutoff.

Erquiaga was good at showdown with an ace-queen kicker to the trip twos on the board and he took the pot while Shinagawa was sent to the rail.

Erquiaga made top pair on the 3♥ 8♦ K♥ 9♣ A♣ runout but Patulot had flopped a set of kings to secure the double up through Erquiaga.

With two players seeing a board of T♠ 5♠ K♠ K♥ 4♦ and 254,000 in the middle Jeong Seonghun bet 135,000 from early position and David Erquiaga used a time bank before calling from the hijack.

Seonghun had a pair with 8♦ 8♥ but Erquiaga had trips with K♣ 8♣ to win the pot.

Ricardo Torres opened to 20,000 from early position, David Erquiaga called from the hijack, Nichols Manalo shoved for 45,000 from the big blind and both opponents called.

Torres and Erquiaga both checked the 3♦ 4♠ 8♠ flop leading to the A♠ turn. Torres check-called a 65,000 bet from Erquiaga.

On the K♦ river Torres checked, Erquiaga shoved and Torres folded. Manalo had second pair with K♣ Q♣ but Erquiaga had a set with 4♣ 4♥ to eliminate Manalo and claim the last of his chips.

Anastasios Pavlou shoved for 151,000 from early position and David Erquiaga called from the cutoff with a covering stack.

Erquiaga remained ahead with the bigger queen on the 2♥ K♠ 6♣ 4♣ 5♣ runout to send Pavlou to the rail and take the pot.

Four starting flights have come and gone and now the final day is upon us for the Manila Super Series 21 ₱18,500 Main Event here at Okada Manila. The Main Event attracted 703 total entries and 107 players have managed to make it to Day 2 where all players are now in the money.

Rancy Cyril Lee comes into the day with the chip lead after finishing Flight B with a staggering 804,000. Lee well ahead of his closest competitors JC Mariano (595,000) and Flight chip leader Ko Okubo (459,000). Flight D chip leader Kazuki Hane and Nina Taisuke round out the top five with 446,000 and 437,000 respectively.

Two previous Main Event winners remain in contention, albeit with short stacks. Jason Magbanua sits at 76,000 and will be chasing his second Main Event title here in Manila while Joemark Vasay comes into the day with 53,000 and will be aiming to spin that stack up towards a historic third Main Event victory.
