It was practically the end for Lee Shun Hei who three-bet preflop for 205,000 leaving just 5000 behind. Initial raiser folded while caller Chen Po Jui stuck around. With the dealer felting K♠ 2♠ Q♣ , Lee checked to Chen who bet the minimum 20,000, Lee committed the last 5000 behind and was behind.

No more checking for chip leader Ruei Jiun Liang who slides out 70,000. Only Chen calls and they head to the river 2♥ . Liang goes back to checking, Chen sends 120,000 out front, Liang snap-calls and shows J♦ 7♦ mid pair. Chen has Liang way beat with J♠ T♣ straight.

Action folded to the day's entering chip leader Chen Po Jui and he bumped it up to 25,000. Small blind Chunyao Hou countered with a 76,000 three-bet that didn't scare away the leader who called. At the flop J♥ T♣ T♠ , Hou fired another 76,000 and this time it was enough to take down the pot uncontested.

The inaugural Players Series 2024 Main Event resumes with Day 3 kicking off at 1pm local time at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. Returning today are the final 47 players, each one now guaranteed NTD 68,000. The plan is to play down to the final table of 9 players.

At the top of the leaderboard is Chen Po Jui with a towering 127 bb. Chen has been in great shape since Day 1B where he bagged the chip lead and carried it into Day 2 as the second largest. Also making today's lineup is Liao Bo Lin who topped the Day 1 flights. Liao enters with a decent 33 bb.

UTG opens 1,000 to take HJ and BU to the action flop 8♦ T♠ 7♥ where a 2,000 c-bet crosses the line, followed by a raise to 7,000 from HJ Chen Po Jui, a call from the button and a 28,300 jam from the preflop aggressor. Chen Po Jui jams to successfully isolate and dominates with T♣ 8♣ against his opponents T♦ 7♦ . The dealer seals it on the turn T♥ and drops an insignificant 6♣ after.
