Poker Dream 25 Main Event Kicks Off Today at 11 a.m.

The wait is over, and the long journey to crown the next Poker Dream Main Event champion begins today.

Featuring a MYR 4,000,000 guarantee, the marquee event of Poker Dream 25 is set to attract a wide array of players from Malaysia and abroad, all eager to chase poker immortality in one of Asia’s most prestigious tournaments.

The last Main Event held in Malaysia during Poker Dream 21 saw Rudy Edenata top a 1,572-entry field to capture his first Poker Dream title and MYR 800,000 (~USD 200,000) - the biggest score of his career. More recently at Poker Dream 23 Taiwan, Ngoc Anh Cao claimed the Poker Dream Gold Dragon Trophy and TWD 5,263,000 (~USD 164,800) top prize by besting a field of 1,472.

This series' Main Event will hold 13 starting flights across five days, beginning with Day 1/A today at 11 a.m. local time. The buy-in varies between MYR 3,200 (~USD 800) and MYR 4,800 (~USD 1,200), with the lower buy-in featuring a 10% ITM rate while the higher buy-in has a 15% ITM rate. The starting flights also feature varying structures, with level lengths ranging from 40 minutes down to 10 minutes. Here's a look at the complete Main Event schedule:

For players looking to get in on the action on a budget, Milestone Satellites with buy-ins ranging from MYR 520 (~USD 130) to MYR 1,070 (~USD 268) will also run daily ahead of the respective starting flights.

Day 1/A starts players with 20,000 in chips, with play beginning at 100/100 blinds with a 100 big-blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes each and 15-minute breaks will be held after every four levels. Late registration for Day 1/A will close at the start of Level 9 (~3:30 p.m.). Play will conclude once the field reaches 10 percent of the field remaining - at which point the surviving players will have secured a spot in the money and advanced to Day 2.

With past Poker Dream Main Events, the Dream Bonus will be active throughout the event, incentivizing players to fire multiple flights. Any player who bags a second time will automatically receive a MYR 10,000 (~USD 2,500) bonus, along with a multiplier based on the number of chips secured. Bagging a third time or more increases the bonus to MYR 20,000 (~USD 5,000), with an even larger multiplier applied. Players who bag multiple times will carry only their largest stack forward to Day 2 on August 2 at 12 p.m., while all other stacks will be removed from play.
