It took twelve levels of Day 2 play for the inaugural Poker Dream Jeju Main Event to trim from 179 players to the final 16. Two players closed the day just 1 bb apart. At the helm was Song Ying with 5,905,000 (74 bb) and Zhou Yang with 5,800,000 (73 bb).

Several busts before the final 16 was formed, Song doubled up and more with pocket queens to catapult to second in command just below Zhou Yang then overtook after railing Ge Zhigang in 18th place. Day 2 wrapped up at the elimination of Zou Haichao in 17th place with pocket Fours losing the flip against Xue Song's Ace-King.

The final stage to the top of the podium kicks off at 1pm tomorrow. Blinds resume at 40,000-80,000 ante 80,000. Everyone is guaranteed ₩22,500,000 (~US$ 16,985) while the eventual champion is guaranteed to rake in ₩453,400,000 (~US$ 342,248).

End of the road for Zou Haichao who open shoves 13 bb with 4♣ 4♠ then runs into Xue Song's A♠ K♠ that goes on to own the board K♣ K♦ J♠ 5♣ 2♠ . Haichao is eliminated in 17th place.

With no hits on the board for Zhigang, he finishes in 18th place.

With the board running A♥ J♣ 5♥ , Wang improves however his hopes quickly vanish on the turn 7♠ and with the river K♣ , Zhou's set gives Wang the boot in 19th place.

Zou Haichao opens 175,000, Xue Song hard-bets to 450,000, Zou tanks for two time banks and makes the call. On the flop 2♠ 4♠ 8♣ , Zou is relentless and shoves, Zou quickly folds.

The board runs T♠ 9♠ 8♥ T♦ K♣. Li misses and falls in 20th place while Song ships the whole load.

Chen Hao defends his big blind preflop and lands top pair with Q♦ T♠ on a on a flop 2♥ 3♥ T♦ . Checking to aggressor Zhang Tianwei, Chen is pushed for his tournament life and decides to take the risk. Zhang flips over K♣ 7♣ air. The turn 6♣ and river 9♥ completes the board, Chen doubles up.

Wang Heng pushed his last 430,000 in and was called by Zhang Tianwei right behind for another flip. In search of a double up, Wang instead headed for the rails as the board 8♠ J♦ K♣ K♦ 3♥ paired up his opponent.

Zhou Yang defended his big blind vs a button open from Yuan Yiwen and went on to check raise 350,000 on flop 7♠ 7♣ 2♦ . On turn J♣ , Zhou sent out another 425,000, and Yuan tank folds.

Anton Lu went with 7♥ 7♦ for his last 425,000 and faced Guo Pengcheng's A♦ J♦ for a flip. At risk, Lu was crushed to see his opponent flop the advantage on board J♥ K♦ 4♣ 9♦ 6♥ , to knock him out in 22nd place.

Folded to Qian Qingtian on the small blind, he stuffed his remaining 400,000 and was called behind by Xue Song. In for a flip, the board 7♦ 9♦ 9♠ K♥ Q♣ missed to table any of Qian's overcards, ending his run in 23rd place finish.

Zhou Yang defended his open against a 275,000 three bet from Wang Wei and saw flop 3♣ 4♠ 8♦ . Wang continued for 300,000 and barreled another 950,000 on turn T♦ . Zhou check raised all-in for his entire 1,715,000, called by Wang. Zhou shows J♦ J♥ , crushed against Wang's Q♥ Q♦ . Lucky for Zhou, the river landed a J♣ , shipping him the pot entirely.

A preflop back and forth saw Hong Gang make the final shove for his last 850,000, called by Anton Lu behind. In rough shape, Hong exited shortly after failing to spike his two outer on board A♣ 9♦ 7♥ 6♣ 5♥ .

A blind vs blind pocket pair battle saw both stacks rush to the middle, Zhang Tianwei being a huge favorite. No sweat landed on board 5♠ J♠ A♦ 4♦ 4♣ , earning Zhang the full double up.

Wang Weng defended his big blind against a 105,000 open from Zhou Yang, and went on to lead 100,000 on flop 3♥ 6♣ 5♠ . Zhou put in a raise to 350,000, and gunned for another 700,000 on turn 3♣ . Wang called one bet but snap folded after Zhou proceeded with more aggression.

Wang Wei defended his big blind against a 100,000 late position open from Yuan Yiwen. On board A♥ 4♥ 5♦ Q♠ 3♥ , Wang went on to check call two streets - 80,000 and 300,000, and arrived at showdown as the river welcomed no more bets. Wang shows two pair Q♣ 3♣ and Yuan mucks.

Yuan Yiwen raised to 100,000 on the cutoff and was met with a three bet to 265,000 from Yea Joonhee right behind. Yuan answered with an all-in for 1,245,000 total, and Yea tank folds.

Chen Jianbin open shoved 490,000 in and was called by Guo Pengcheng on the big blind. A favorite to win, Chen secured the double up as board K♠ 8♠ 7♦ K♥ 4♥ rolled on the felt.

Lim Yat Yong shows aggression throughout the board T♦ K♣ 2♠ 6♦ 2♦ with a 100,000 preflop raise, 90,000 and 150,000 flop and turn c-bets, however on the river, lone challenger Jin Wang steals control and leads out 250,000, Lim calls then mucks to A♦ 3♦ flush.

Yuan Yiwen has just over 10 bb and three-bets all in holding A♥ T♣ , no chance of folding from initial raiser Zhang Tianwei with a larger stack and opens A♠ Q♥ .

With the board running A♦ 9♣ 2♥ T♥ 7♠ , Yiwen spikes a pair on the turn to avoid the rail.

Folding to the button Wang Wei raises to 100,000 and big blind Wang Heng calls. On the flop and turn K♥ T♠ J♠ T♣ , Wei bets 125,000 and 250,000, Heng folds to the turn bet.

Looking down and seeing pocket Kings, Wang Wei raises 80,000 and finds two callers. Wang's hand gets better on the flop A♥ K♠ 3♥ and c-bets 80,000. Cutoff player calls then Wong Ka Fai check-raises all in fo 330,000. Wang smooth calls as cutoff folds. Both players flip over their hands. Wang is far ahead.

The turn 3♥ seals the win for Wang and the inconsequential river is the lone king in the deck K♥ for quads. Wang Wei collects all of Wong's chips. Wong finishes in 25th place for ₩12,400,000 (~US$ 9,360).

Round two against Teng Kah Yew, small blind Steve Yea re-raises from 80,000 to make it 245,000. Initial raiser Teng calls. When the board runs 4♣ Q♦ 9♠ 9♦ , Yea sends out 160,000 then shoves (370,000), Teng folds.

Dream Bonus qualifier Hong Gang is next to earn some chips off Steve Yea. Defending his big blind, Hong lead out 300,000 on the flop 7♣ 5♠ 3♥ and wins the pot uncontested.

Two Super High Roller finalists face off with Teng Kah Yew kicking off the hand with a min-raise. Big blind Steve Yea defends to see a flop T♦ 2♣ 3♦ . Teng continues for 110,000, Yea answers with a check-raise of 250,000, Teng calls. On the turn 8♣ , Yea bumps up his bet to 550,000, Teng shoves well over double Yea's stack. After using a time extension, Yea gives up his stake on the pot.

Jin Wang defends his raise by calling Chen Hao's three-bet of 150,000. Both players check the flop 9♠ 8♥ Q♦ then Wang sends out 235,000 on the turn 6♠ . Chen folds for Wang pick up the pot that easy.

Li Xinze three-bet shoves 14 bb with K♣ K♥ , Zou Haichao calls with A♣ Q♣ . The window card is an ace and holds throughout the board A♥ T♣ 7♦ 6♥ T♠ to end Li's run.

Xue Song bumps up the betting to 60,000 and big blind Jin Wang defends. On the flop K♦ 2♦ 9♣ , Xue c-bets 45,000, Wang check-raises 120,000 to halt Xue in his tracks.

Soriano Ramos has been fairly quiet all day until Li Houwenfeng three-bet shoved. Ramos called with 8♠ 8♥, Li opened A♥ Q♣ , board ran low 5♥ 4♠ 2♥ T♠ 5♦ . Ramos ships as Li runs empty.

Within seconds of the new level, Wei Lu runs empty. Hand opens with Guo Pengcheng raising and finding three callers to the flop 5♦ 7♣ 2♣ . Guo c-bets 80,000, two players call, Wei raises 300,000, Guo answers with a shove, two plyers fold, Wei commits the rest of his stack.

Down to 3 bb, Webster Lim risks it with A♦ 9♥ and big blind Wei Lu calls with Q♥ J♠ . Lu improves on the flop J♣ 6♠ 4♣ , Lim retakes the lead on the turn A♣ , then with the river J♦ , Lu jumps back out front again to boot Lim out of the field.

Strong betting by Yuan Yiwen with a three-bet of 135,000 preflop called by initial raiser Guo Pengcheng. On the flop and turn T♣ K♦ 7♥ 2♣ , Yuan fires 100,000 then shoves, Guo calls the first and despite having more chips, can't pull the trigger on the turn and folds.

From the big blind, Steve Yea calls Li Dong's preflop raise then both check to the turn 7♥ Q♣ J♣ 8♥ . Li dumps in 90,000, Yea check-calls. Same action on the river 6♠ with Yea check-calling a larger 200,000 bet. Li shows K♥ T♠ missed draw, Yea collects with J♥ 7♠ two pair.

Big hands continue to turn up. Wang Wei is dealt A♣ A♥ and kicks off the hand with a 30,000 raise. Tang Xin has A♦ K♥ and three bets 100,000, Wang replies with a four-bet of 205,000, Tang lays out a five bet of 495,000, Wang shoves 790,000. Tang snap-calls.

With the board running K♦ Q♠ Q♣ 6♠ 4♦ , Wang soars as Tang drops to 18 bb.

A king lands on the flop and holds for Yang to scoop a happy double up.

Day 1H flight leader Ng Kah Chun has been dealt his last hand with K♣ Q♣ unable to crack Wang Heng's A♥ A♠ . On a three-bet pot preflop by Wang, Ng check-raises all in on a flop A♦ Q♠ 2♣ and is far behind the set. With the turn 6♦ , Ng is drawing dead.

Teng Kah Yew takes control with a 30,000 raise preflop and a c-bet of the same on a flop K♦ 7♠ 2♥ . Called by Li Dong, the turn 7♥ sees Teng check then call Li's 80,000 bet. Both players check the river Q♦ . Teng flips over K♥ J♣ top pair and wins the pot.

From utg Xu Qiang opens 30,000 and two player call. At every street of a board T♦ 3♥ Q♥ 8♣ A♠ , Xu unloads 45,000, 115,000, and 230,000. One player folds on he flop while Li Xuejiang calls then folds to the river bet after using up three time banks.

Lots of pocket aces have been tabled with many failing to win pots. Not the case for Anqi Luo who was dealt the nuts hole cards and calls for everything on a four-bet push by Du Kanwen.

Big blinds Wang Jiaxin looks down at pocket Aces and three-bets from 24,000 to 80,000, initial raise utg+1 Yu Lei and caller utg+2 Zou Haichao stick around. At the flop K♣ 8♣ T♦ , Wang leads out 125,000, Yu folds while Zou goes the other direction and jams 221,000. Wang calls and well covers Zou.

Big blind Zhang Hongsheng looks down at Q♣ T♥ and tries to push out button raiser Wong Ka Fai instead ends up topping up Wong who calls for everything holding A♣ K♣ . The board was 2♣ 2♥ 8♦ 3♦ J♦ .

Unfortunate turn for Erdun Xu to lose all of his chips to Li Dong. After a heavy battle preflop that saw Li three-bet then call the Xu's five-bet, the flop T♦ T♠ 9♣ saw more chips fly. Xu shoves 235,000, Li snap-called.

Anton Lu raises from cutoff and gets call by big blind Zhao Hongjun. When the board spreads 5♣ 3♣ Q♦ 6♣ , Lu bets 22,000 and 80,000, Zhao check-calls both. On the river 5♠ , Zhao checks, Lu decides to check back . Zhao shows K♣ Q♠ top pair.

Bull headed battle preflop starts with Wang Jiaxin's 20,000 raise, Zou Haichao re-raises 60,000, Wang four-bets 150,000, Zou stops the action with a call.

On the flop Q♥ 2♥ 6♠ , Wang continues for 100,000 which induces a fold from Zou.

Li Dong and Xing Zhongjie battle for the pot that has grown to 100,000 by the turn 8♥ T♥ 2♠ J♠ . Xing is all in and is behind with 5♠ T♠ while Li has J♥ 2♥ . The river K♣ is no help to Xing to end his run at the Main Event.

With the flop running Q♦ J♦ 7♦ , it's instant trips for Wang to overtake aces. The turn 6♥ and river 2♠ keeps the lucky Wang ahead to ship it and boot one.

Chen Jianbin bets 45,000 onto a pot of 115,000 with a board showing 8♥ 2♥ 6♦ 6♥ . Yu Yunchao check-calls and they head to the turn 4♦ . Chen fires again, making it 100,000 to continue, Yu uses a time-bank then gives up his stake on the pot.

Che Jiaming is well on his way to raking in a big payout at the Main Event having already earned a Dream Bonus of ₩31 Million. He is currently one of the big stacks here and picks up a pot to maintain his status.

Following a raise and call, Che calls from the button then bets the flop and turn K♥ 7♦ 9♣ 3♥ 37,000 and 120,000, two players call the flop then fold to the turn bet.

Catching the action with a pot of 90,000 already brewed and a flop 9♠ J♠ 8♣ . Deng Hui has all of his chips in, a huge 268,000 stack with 8♥ 9♦ and Lim has him covered and has Q♦ T♣ nuts straight. The turn 3♦ and river 7♦ don't improve Hui to crash out of the tournament as Lim ships it.

After a cutoff raise, buttong player Zhang Hao fires a huge 100,000 three-bet and still is denied the steal with big blind Edmund Lau calling while cutoff folds. On the flop 9♥ 2♥ T♦ , Lau open shoves, Zhang uses up all of his time banks then calls for his remaining 4 bb.

Li Xuejian three-bets 55,000 preflop and still doesn't shake off utg raiser Sean Ooi. Li fires again on the flop 8♠ 7♦ K♥ , Ooi still sticks with him. On the turn 4♦ and river A♠ , no more bets from Li. Ooi shows T♠ T♦ , Li wins with K♠ J♣ .
