A total of 502 entries from flights A, B, C signed up for KRW 900,000 (~USD 660) plus the 140 flipout entries of flight D who signed up for KRW 600,000 (~USD 440), brought the prize pool up to a whopping KRW 430,039,800 (~USD 328,200), more than doubling the guarantee for the Mystery Big Bounty event here at Poker Dream 12 Jeju 2024.

A combined 91 players from all the flights advanced to play in today's Day 2 Final. All remaining contenders are already guaranteed a minimum payout and will have the chance to climb up the payout ladder depending on how well they progress in today's final. Apart from the guaranteed payouts from the prize pool, players will also have a chance to win big prizes from mystery bounties.

Leading all 91 players in chips is Shi Bei with 504,000. Shi Bei amassed his chips from flight B and will take those chips into today's final in the hopes of winning the championship.

In a battle of the blinds, Yu Jiapeng pushed all on for his last 70,000 with 5♦ 2♣ and Biao Ding defended at the big blinds with Q♦ 6♠. The 9♠ A♣ 3♥ flop added a possible straight to improve Jiapeng's hand, but the Q♥ on the turn and the 9♦ on the river shut the door to end his tournament life. Biao Ding improves to 1,700,000 while Jiapeng takes a bow at 6th place, winning 6th - KRW 8,270,000 (~USD 6,200), which could be used for a nice weekend vacation at a five-star beach resort.

At the end of the break with 6 players remaining, William Jia walked back to his seat as the chip leader with a 1,600,000 stack. Jia's stack took its first big hit against Tianwei Zhang when Jia made a big flop bet, but had to give up the pot when he couldn't call the all-in bet by Zhang on a flop of 2♣ 2♦ 5♦. Tianwei Zhang's stack improved to 1,400,000 while Jia's dwindled to 1,000,000.

On another hand that followed, Jia met Biao Ding's all-in for 770,000. Biao Ding flashed A♣ K♥ that dominated the A♥ J♥ of William Jia. The 6♠ T♠ 7♥ T♦ Q♣ board was of no help and Biao Ding bounced back to 1,615,000 chips. William Jia was reduced to a very critical 180,000.

William Jia took a gamble with his remaining 180,000 with J♥ 7♠, and was called by Zhu Jingxuan from the big blind with 8♥ 4♥ . The board of 9♠ 6♠ 5♠ T♦ T♥ didn't do anything for anyone, and a Jack-high for Jia was enough to double him up from drowning with 410,000 chips. Zhu Jingxuan felt a little prick when his stack went to 1,240,000.

At the next level with blinds at 30,000/60,000 ante 60,000, William Jia pushed the 410,000 all-in with Q♦ Q♠ and was met by an equally short-stacked Yu Jiapeng, who felt confident making the call with K♦ 9♣. The queens stayed alive with a board of J♥ 2♠ 7♣ 5♣ 4♥ and Jia double up to 910,000. Yu Jiapeng was left with 70,000.

Biao Ding takes another bad beat. With his kings cracked earlier, Biao Ding suffers another hit. This time his A♣ J♥ falling to the K♠ Q♣ of the short-stacked Yu Jiapeng. Biao Ding was in positive spirits on a flop of 7♥ 9♥ 9♣, but the K♦ on the turn and the 7♠ on the river shattered the dream. Yu Jiapeng doubles to 550,000 while Biao Ding slides down to 950,000 as the bad run continues.
