Hongjun Zhao set the stage with a bet of 125,000 from the hijack, which Defeng Chen called from the cutoff as well as Tsz Kin Heung on the big blind.
Off the bat, the flop of 5♥ 7♦ 8♣ teased a straight. Hongjun bet 200,000, Defeng called, and Tsz Kin saw nothing to keep him in the hand.
The turn came 6♥, and both checked.
On the river 5♣, Hongjun bet 425,000. Defeng raised this to 1 million, which Hongjun called.

The dealer peeled a flop of Q♣ K♦ K♠then a turn of 8♠. Before he could show the river, Wang was up on his seat and putting his two cards near to where the river would fall, begging the poker gods to match it.
The 9♣ fell and paired his nine, having him jump up and down in delight as his King's Main Event journey was allowed to continue.

Something we've hardly seen in late tournament play here in Jeju is 4 callers into a hand pre-flop. That's exactly what happened when Defeng Chen called from the hijack, Vincent Huang from the button, Tsz Kin Heung on the small blind, and Xing on the big blind.
The flop was 6♦ 9♠4♠which was checked all around. On the turn K♠, Xin began weeding out the table with a bet of 90,000, which only had Tsz Kin calling.
On the river 7♦, Tsz Kin checked, Xing bet 225,000, which pushed out Tsz Kin and won the pot.

Lei Yu didn't let it get to a showdown yet still managed to get a lot of chips from Renji Mao.
Sitting on the button, Lei led with a bet of 110,000 which Renji called on the big blind. On the flop of 9♣ T♥ K♥, Renji checked and Lei bet 120,000, which Renji called.
Both checked the turn of 5♦. But on the river 2♠, with Renji checking, Lei bet out an intimidating 750,000, which Renji folded to.
David MiscikowskiYang Zhang opened for 125,000 on the lowjack. On the hijack, David Miscikowskii shoved all in for 900,000. On the cutoff, Ryuta Nakai just called.
Action came back to Zhang, who spent a few time banks before deciding to also move all in. Nakai snap called for a three-way showdown, covering Zhang's stack

A critically short-stacked Quan Zhou was nearly forced all in on the small blind for 50,000 and had 10,000 left. Zhou threw it in and didn't bother to look at his cards.
Tang made the call to compete with Lin for a side pot.

Tang check-called the 150,000 bet of Lin to see a 4♦ turn. Tang check-called again, but this time for a heftier 600,000.
The 3â™ landed on the river and both checked.
Tang peeled open A♦ 5♦, while Lin produced a similar A♥ 5♥. Both players hitting the five which was good enough to split the side pot.
For the main pot, Zhou turned over Q♥ 8♠and didn't catch anything, requiring him to take leave from his seat.

The King Poker Cup series reaches its final stretch in the Les A Casino at Jeju, South Korea. With over two weeks of poker action, the crown jewel King's Main Event will be on its penultimate Day 2, following the completion of two Day 1 starting flights.
There were a total of 180 entries from both flights that generated a massive total prize pool USD 2,527,200. Both flights came up with 45 total survivors, who will return today to compete for a piece of the payout pie. Only 27 players will earn a share with the minimum cash coming at USD 30,000 and the champion earning the lion's share of USD 587,200 up top plus a coveted Main Event trophy and a King Poker Cup ring.
Ting Yi TsaiEntering Day 2 as the overall chip leader is Taiwan's Ting Yi Tsai, who topped Day 1B with 6,610,000 chips. Coming in at second in chips is China's Haohui Ma who led Day 1A with 5,565,000 chips. The USA's David Coleman from Day 1A rounds up the the top three with 4,300,000.
Some of the notable players inside the top ten include Ryuta Nakai of Japan (4,030,000), Danny Tang of Hong Kong (3,385,000) and China's Renji Mao (3,315,000).
Outside of the top ten, some notable players with decent stacks include Hongjun Zhao and Samuel Mullur. Meanwhile, some key players near the bottom that need to do some work include Joshua Mccully, Punnat Punsri, Calvin Lee and Tony Ren Lin.
Defending King's Main Event champion Tony Ren Lin has a stack of 510,000, which is just 10,000 more than the starting stack. Lin will need to defy the odds in order to repeat as the champion.
Cards will be in the air at 13:00 local time. Day 2 will conclude after a final table of 9 players will be reached or after 10 40-minute levels are completed - whichever comes first.
