Australia's Yita Choong made a last-minute entry and looked to double his stack when Nguyen Le - who is on a second bullet -shoved all in for 226,000 on the cutoff.

Choong was on the big blind and took the risk.

The board ran 5♣ 5♠ 7♠ K♠ 5♦

Choong missed out and was left with just 24,000, while Le doubled and some.

On the very next hand, Yuan Li opened for 25,000 from under the gun. Choong pushed his last 24,000 in the middle. Biao Ding made the call on the big blind, creating a 2,000 side pot.

The flop landed 9♣ 5♦ 3♥ and both players checked.

The Q♥ came on the turn. Ding checked and Li fired a bet of 25,000. Ding folded.

Yita Choong flipped over Q♠ J♦, pairing the queen. However, Li showed a A♠ Q♣, also pairing the queen and with a better kicker.

The 2♥ river gave no help for Choong and he headed straight to the exit.

Konstantin Held was messing around when he put all his chips in while the dealer was still washing the deck. Though that might not have been binding, as soon as the dealer was slinging cards, from under the gun he put all his chips into the middle without taking a look at what he had.

Khoi Le raised to 50,000 from the +1, then Yinan Zhou pushed from the cutoff. Khoi called the all in, which he had covered.

On the first part, there was a pot of around 120,000 beside a board that showed 3♦ 2♦ 5♦ 2♥

Yuan Li was on the big blind against Yifu He on the hijack.

Li fired a massive bet of 300,000, covering the remaining 95,000 chip stack of He.

Yifu He tanked and spent around three time bank cards before finally deciding to fold. He declared he folded an ace. Li assured him it was a good fold.

On the next hand, He was on early position (UTG +1) and shoved his remaining 95,000 chips all in. Jiabao Lin was on the big blind and called.

Nang Quang Nguyen opened for 20,000 from early position. Hon Cheong Lee then three-bet raised to 55,000. Duan Bin made the call and Nguyen didn't want to be left out.

Rodrigo Selouan opened the betting with 20,000 from early position (UTG+1) and Jian Zhu on the button called as did Jun Li on the big blind.

J♣ T♦ 4♣ was flopped, Jun checked as well as Rodrigo. Jian bet 35,000, which had Jun scampering, and Rodrigo calling.

Rodrigo checked the 5♦ on the turn, Jian let bet more than twice his previous at 75,000, which Rodrigo called.

At the 3♥ on the river, Rodrigo again checked, and now Jian let loose a hefty bet of 105,000, which Rodrigo called.

Jian flipped of A♣ J♦ giving him a pair of Jacks, and Rodrigo mucked his cards.

Quian Qiu raised to 12,000 from the hijack seat, Abraham Ceesvin at the cutoff 3-bet to 30,000. Quian played back with a 4-bet to 75,000, and Abraham called.

We saw a flop of K♠ J♣ 7♦ which quian shot at for 30,000, and Abraham called. Quian then bet 42,000 for the 9♥ on the turn, which Abraham called.

The 2♦ on the river then saw Quian going all-in. After 4 time cards, Abraham finally called and shoed that he was betting with A♦ J♠ in hand, pairing the Jack on the flop, but was no good against the A♥ A♠ Quian had in the hole.

Abraham then went to buy another bullet.

Last Flight of Royal Ascent Runs Today

The King Poker Cup series continues in the Les A Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World Resort, Jeju, South Korea, with another highlight event in the USD 8,000 Royal Ascent.

The final Day 1B flight takes off today to find more players to advance to tomorrow's Day 2 final.

Yesterday's Day 1A brought in a total of 75 entries with 12 survivors continuing their campaign into Day 2. Thailand's Punnat Punsri bagged the most chips, turning his starting stack of 250,000 into a massive 3,525,000. Hongjun Zhao from China followed next with 3,415,000 chips and Japan's Ryuta Nakai with 3,360,000. Those top three were the only ones to break the 3 million mark.

China's Tony Ren Lin would be fourth at an arm's length with 1,905,000. Other notables who advance to Day 2 include Ryan Plant, Toby Joyce and Tien Loon Ling.

Today's Day 1B flight will have cards in the air at 13:00 local time with late registration open until the end of Level 9 at approximately 20:10 local time.

Players will be given a starting stack of 250,000 for their USD 8,000 buy-in and will play 35-minute blind levels.
