The fourth of five flights for the KPC Main Event with the KRW 800,000,000 (~$544,077) guaranteed prize pool well eclipsed by the new total of KRW 1,393,660,000 (~$977,109) booked 390 entries and saw 49 advance to Day 2 tomorrow at 12:00 local.

Chun Lung Wong bagged a new overall lead with 795,000 mainly due to a massive double up against Tae Hoon Han with A♠ A♥ against J♥ J♦ that remained the biggest pot of the day - worth 233 BBs in level 13. He put a cherry on top right at the end by eliminating Cheng Zhou on the bubble for Day 2.

Yuheng Wu came in 2nd with 563,000 and 3rd place Haibo Yang has 544,000 to work with.

The Korea Poker Cup Main Event Flight D Starts At 12:00 Local

The inaugural Korea Poker Cup series taking place at Landing Casino inside the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World Resort continues, offering the last two chances to qualify for Day 2 of the headline Main Event with a KRW 800,000,000 (~USD 544,077) guaranteed prize pool. Another highlight today is the $50,000 buy-in Super High Roller - Short Deck Ante Only starting at 16:00 with late registration still open until the beginning of Day 2.

Day 1D is the fourth of five starting flights costing KRW 1,300,000 (~US$ 890) to enter, adding another tranche of contenders to the 79 out of 635 entries that already bagged their chips for Day 2 in the previous three flights.

Once at the tables, players start with a stack of 30,000 which is a deep 150 times the opening blinds. The blinds increase at 40 minute intervals, and late registration stays open until the start of Level 10 at around 19:30.

For everyone still looking to qualify after that can do so in the final Flight E at 20:00, cutting down the levels to 20 minutes and late registration open until the start of level 10 around 23:20.
