Meng Ling Lin Closes the Festival in Style: Red Dragon Prestige High Roller Champion Crowned
Meng Ling LinThe Red Dragon Prestige High Roller concluded in spectacular fashion at LES A Casino (formerly Landing Casino), capping off the Jeju Poker Festival 2025 on a high note. Taiwan's Meng Ling Lin etched her name into Red Dragon history by outlasting a 232-entry field, generating an impressive KRW 1,228,719,000 (~$838,075) prize pool.
Facing a star-studded lineup of poker elites with millions in total live earnings, including Yita Choong, Joseph Cheong, Dylan Wayne Foster, Sean Ooi, Jun Li, and Nevan Chang, the Taiwanese pro claimed the lion’s share of the prize. Walking away with KRW 282,069,000 (~$192,390) and the glory of lifting the final trophies, Lin secured his place among the festival’s champions, leaving a legacy to be remembered for years to come.
After Yi Qin’s exit, Lin wrapped up the final duel in just three hands, wasting no time closing out the heads-up battle against Christopher Young Park. In the very first hand, Lin picked off Park’s bluff shove with ten-high, taking over the chip lead with her turned two pair. Moments later, she called Park’s shove with king-three against his six-deuce. The board brought no help for Park, and just like that, he had to settle for the runner-up finish.
Zhi Jian Sean OoiMalaysia’s Zhi Jian Sean Ooi became the unfortunate bubble after a heartbreaking runout. Holding pocket aces, Ooi was far ahead against Meng Dian Peng’s six-four, but fate had a cruel twist in store.
Peng picked up a gutshot on the turn and spiked the river seven to complete his straight, cracking Ooi’s bullets and sending him out empty-handed, just one spot shy of the money.

Another unfortunate bubble of the day was Malaysia’s Eng Loong Choi, who initially scored a double-up through Yuhan Liu with pocket queens, cracking Liu’s Big Slick. However, Choi’s momentum was short-lived. Moments later, his ace-queen ran into Chao Li’s pocket kings, which held firm after connecting on the flop. Just like that, Choi’s run came to an end, missing the final table by a single spot.
Eng Loong ChoiWith unwavering focus and fearless aggression, Lin proved her mettle against one of the toughest fields of the festival. Her victory not only secured the final trophy of the Jeju Poker Festival 2025 but also marked a defining moment in her career, a triumph built on precision, patience, and poise under pressure.
Emerging as the lone survivor on the final day, Lin left a lasting impression on all the poker elites who graced this prestigious event, cementing her place among the legends of the Red Dragon as the last champion of the series.

Kwan and Choong Take Control from the Blind
Chun Kit KwanWin Meng Tan opened the cutoff to 16,000, and Chun Kit Kwan defended his big blind.
Both players tapped the table down to the river on the 9♥ 6♠ 5♣ A♣ 8♠ board, where Kwan fired 67,000. After thinking for a while, Tan laid it down.
In the following hand, Wei Zhu made it 16,000 to go from early position, and Yita Choong called from the big blind.
The duet checked through the 3♠ 2♣ 5♣ flop to the 8♠ turn, where Choong led out for 22,000. Zhu stuck around.
When the 4♦ filled out the board, Choong sent another barrel of 100,000, drawing a snap-fold from Zhu.

After an action-packed opening flight, the stage is set for one of the most competitive and high-stakes battles of the Jeju Poker Festival 2025.
Yesterday’s Day 1 saw a massive turnout of 154 entries, drawing a field loaded with top professionals, seasoned regulars, and fearless newcomers. The registration remains open for three more levels, giving latecomers one last chance to take a shot at glory. Only 74 players remain in contention as the final day begins, and the competition is already fierce at the top of the leaderboard. Xiaochun Shi leads the pack with a commanding 2,113,000 (277 BB), showing both composure and consistency throughout Day 1.
Xixiang LuoRight behind him is two-time WSOP bracelet winner Xixiang Luo with 1,912,000 (239 BB). He now aims to add the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller trophy to his growing list of achievements.
