Wong fired 3,500 after action was passed to him. Yip called to see the turn.

The turn fell 8♠ and action went check, check.

Yip checked river A♠ again prompting Wong to keep the pressure with a 4,200 bet. Yip took some time to mull things over then decided to go beyond and make it 18,500. Frustrated, Wong conceded the pot to Yip.

Wada's Stack Soars After Three-Way Collision

Masao Nishizawa opened to 2,800 first to act and was three-bet to 9,500 by Hidetomo Wada in middle position. Christopher Park then moved all in for approximately 37,000 from the hijack. It was folded back around to Nishizawa, who also shoved, which was enough to put Wada all in for 112,000 total. Wada snap-called and a three-way showdown was held.

Bakovic check-called a 1,500 bet from Zhao on the 8♠ 2♥ 2♠ flop and action checked through on the 4♦ turn.

Bakovic checked a final time on the Q♥ river and Zhao overbet the pot for 12,000 – sending Bakovic deep into the tank.

Bakovic put several time banks into the middle and used up a couple of them before sticking in a call.

Zhao turned over 9♦ 9♣ for nines-up and Bakovic mucked his cards upon seeing it.

It was a classic all-in situation with pockets against ace-king. Ito was ahead with his queens but the flop came T♥ 8♠ 2♠. Shen was looking at a potential triple up at the end of the day having flopped a set.

The 7♠ turn, however, gave Ito more outs with a flush draw. To Shen's disappointment, the K♠ dropped on the river completing Ito's flush. Shen left the table while Nakashima looked at his much dwindled stack that left him with only three big blinds.

Peng Chen opened to 2,500 from middle position and called a three-bet of 7,500 from Shota Koyama, who was in the cutoff.

Chen check-called a 7,500 bet from Koyama on the K♥ A♥ 3♣ flop and checked again after the 3♠ paired the board on the turn.

Koyama moved all-in for approximately 25,000 and Chen quickly called to put Koyama at risk.

Chen held an ace, which left Koyama drawing to just two outs with his pair of sixes.

The Q♦ river was a brick and Koyama was forced to surrender his stack.

Hao's Sails Flushes Uesegi Down

Junya Uesugi

Chen Hao in the big blind and Junya Uesugi quietly waited while the dealer pulled in their bets making a 6,800 pot. She then spread a 7♦ J♣ K♣. Uesugi fattened the pot with a 1,800 bet after action was passed to him. Hao called.

Both players checked the K♦ turn leading them to the T♦ river.

With action passed to him again, Uesugi shot out 7,500 sending Hao to think about his next move, burning a time card in the process. He decided to jam his remaining 28,000 chips making Uesugi look up in frustration.

It took him his time plus two time cards to make the call.

Hao turned over K♥ J♦ for a full boat. A disappointed Uesugi flipped over his hand to show an inferior flush with 6♦ 4♦ to lose the hand.

Matsushita's Straight Disappoints Karatsu

Hiroki Karatsu in the big blind and Masafumi Matsushita in cutoff had already built a 13,000 pot sitting beside a completed board of 2♠ 4♣ J♦ 5♥ A♣.

The table was waiting for Karatsu to act. He fired off 12,400, making Matsushita having to consider his options. It didn't take that long for him to reraise to 25,000, sending Karatsu to the tank.

Karatsu mulled things over burning a time card in the process. He hesitantly put in one chip for a call. Matsushita turned over A♦ 3♦ for a straight. Karatsu tapped the table then mucked his hand looking quite disappointed.

Lifu Huang raised to 2,500 from middle position and was three-bet to 7,500 by Nan Zhao on the button. Takahiro Kumaido then cut out a four-bet to 15,500 and placed it into the middle from the small blind, which got a quick fold from Huang and a call from Zhao.

The flop came T♣ 2♥ Q♥ and Kumaido downbet for 9,000.

Zhao used up a couple of time extensions contemplating his decision, but eventually he thought better of it and laid his hand down. Kumaido took one last peek at his hole cards and collected the pot without resistance.

Qian Wins a Pot

A pot of 5,000 was in the middle of the table while four players waited for the flop - Takayuki Togashi in the small blind, Yunpeng Bai in the big, Xiaoyang Qian under the gun and Xiaohuang Chen in middle position.

The dealer finally fanned out 3♣ 2♦ 9♣. After checks from the blinds, Qian led with 2,400 and got only one caller - Togashi.

The 3♠ turn fell and Togashi hung on after a 12,500 bet from Qian. Action slowed down with a check, check when the 6♦ river fell.

Togashi showed A♣ 4♣ for a busted straight draw. Qian had to remind the dealer that he flopped a pair with his A♠ 9♠ when he seemed confused as to who won.

The turn 2♦ fell and this time, Ishii checked to Sirijan who fired 10,000, sending Ishii to the tank. After a few seconds, Ishii called to see the 7♥ river.

A three-way pot of around 6,000 was sitting beside a flop of 8♦ J♣ 7♣ when the dealer peeled a 2♣.

After a check, Quan Cui under the gun fired 3,000 pushing Yusuke Nakase out of the hand. Chen Hao in the big blind called to see the last card.

The river 5♠ was checked by both players. Cui pushed his cards forward without letting go but after he saw Hao's Q♦ 8♦, immediately turned them over to show Q♥ J♥ for top pair.

Hung called a 1,500 bet from Jirundon on the A♣ K♣ 5♥ flop and a 2,500 barrel from Jirundon on the Q♥ turn.

Jirundon slowed down and checked after the 8♥ filled out the board, prompting Hung to announce a hefty 14,000 wager. Jirundon wanted nothing to do with it and mucked, conceding the pot to Hung.

Weng Gives the Sweetest Smile

When Chien Chih Weng opened to 1,200, four times the big blind, from under the gun, she didn't expect a lot of players to join her to see the flop. She looked visibly frustrated as one by one she saw Tsun Kit Wong, Kim Hyuk, Maxim Lykov on the button and Naoto Ito in the small blind to call.

The dealer fanned out a monochromatic board showing 7♠ 6♠ 3♠. After a series of checks, Hyuk fired 1,800 which Lykov called. When action got to her, she was visibly frowning when she raised it to 6,000. She was able to push out everyone except Lykov who called.

Both players checked the 2♠ turn and the A♦ river. Weng turned over K♠ T♠ for king-high flush prompting Lykov to muck his hand.

A huge smile spread across Weng's face as she scooped the multi-way pot.

Zou check-called a 400 bet from Mitsugi on the T♠ A♥ Q♠ flop and then both players checked on the J♦ turn.

Zou led out for 1,000 on the 4♥ river and Mitsugi made it 3,800 to go. Zou moved all in for 4,600 total and Zou apparently put in a chip and turned over Q♣ 6♣.

Zou tabled K♣ T♦ for a straight, but there was some confusion as Mitsugi didn't seem to know Zou had more chips behind. It was decided Mitsugi called Zou's river shove and Zou was awarded the double up.

Shoichi Nakashima opened to 500 from middle position and was called by Uten Ungchusak in the cutoff. Takeomi Miyazawa then squeezed to 2,100 on the button and it was folded back to Nakashima, who four-bet to 7,200.

Ungchusak got out of the way, but MIyazawa didn't take long to cut out a five-bet to 16,600 and place it into the middle. Undeterred, Nakashima moved all in for a bit under 40,000 total, sending Miyazawa deep into the tank.

After using up a couple of time extensions, Miyazawa slid his cards into the muck. Nakashima took one last peek at his cards before collecting the pot without showing.

Flight C of APT Incheon Main Event Set to Get Underway at 11 a.m.

Welcome back to Paradise City Resort, where two of the four starting flights for the 2026 APT Incheon Main Event have already been played to completion. So far, the Main Event has drawn a total of 669 entries - 165 from Flight A, 222 from Flight B, and 282 OnLive entries. Of those, 161 players have secured a spot in Day 2, while 39 OnLive qualifiers have already advanced directly to the money and Day 3.

Faring the best across the first two starting flights was Singapore’s Shawn Cheng Hong Lee, who bagged 329,000 after a stellar Flight B performance. Hong Kong’s Ka Lok Lam (304,900) and Japan’s Shota Nakanishi (287,000) round out the current top three, while Japan’s Takayuki Akamatsu (who led Flight A) sits fifth overall with 241,000.

Further down the leaderboard, a number of accomplished players have also secured their seats for Day 2, including Napat Chokejindachai (107,600), recent WSOP bracelet winner Adriaan Jacobs (104,700), Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang (98,100), and four-time APT champion Hal Rotholz (89,000).

Flight C is set to get underway at 11 a.m. local time and features a faster structure than the first two opening flights. The first six levels will last just 30 minutes each before the pace slows to 45-minute levels from Level 7 onward.

Players will start with 40,000 in chips, with Level 1 beginning at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. There are two scheduled 15-minute breaks on Flight C, coming after Levels 4 and 7, with a total of 10 levels scheduled to be played before players bag and tag for the evening.

Flight D, which follows an identical structure to Flight C, is set to begin at 6 p.m. Late registration for the Main Event will close at the start of Level 2 on Day 2 (Aug 12 at ~12:15 p.m.), so there is still time for any last minute entrants to hop into the fray.
