The penultimate opening flight of the TWD 55,000 Main Event at APT Taipei 2025 has officially been completed at the Red Point Center’s Red Space.


With the magical energy from this brand-new venue, the Main Event has confirmed a staggering 2,063 entries throughout three opening flights, smashing the APT Taipei record for the largest international poker tournament ever held in Taiwan.


With the final opening flight still underway and late registration open until the start of Day 2, the field looks poised to set another record-shattering milestone by surpassing 2,350 entries to establish a new all-time record.


While the venue is still buzzing with action, the field of 486 entries (392 unique) was garnered in Flight C, with 230 survivors successfully bagging their chips and advancing to Day 2 after ten intensive levels.

Lim's Turned Flush Collects the Pot

A board ran out 3 A 4 7 2 with around 27,500 chips in the pot when Suthikiat Sethi checked from the small blind. Donghyun Lim fired out 24,000 from the big blind, sending his opponent into the tank. After around 2 minutes, Seith opted to make the call.


Lim flipped over K 9 for a flush, dragging in the sizable pot as Seith mucked his hand.

Lim Seizes the Pot with Flop Pressure

Suthikiat Sethi limped in from under the gun and Aindrey Hawil raised to 1,600 from the hijack. Shih Chi Kao called in the small blind, which Donghyun Lim re-raised to 5,600 in the big blind. Only Sethi stepped aside.


The trio saw a flop of J 9 9 flop and Kao checked to Lim, who fired out 11,000. This successfully forced his two opponent to muck the hand.
