Andrew Ong opened from under the gun to 250,000. Small blind Chun Lau raised to 1,400,000, leaving another 405,000 behind.

Ong tanked and eventually shoved all-in for 1,845,000 - slightly covering Lau. Lau made the call.

Ong was disappointed that he was dominated. However...

The board opened 3♦ 2♠ T♠ and gave Ong a set. The runout of 5♥ A♥ sealed the deal and sent Lau out of the Main Event while giving One some much needed chips.

In the post-hand analysis of Ong, he mentioned, "I thought it was a smaller pair because it's such a huge raise."

But, of course, Ong was happy enough that the poker gods favored him on this hand despite his wrong read.
