Day 2
Mendoza Should Have Listened

First to act, Kimiaki Nakamura opened to 8,000 and the action was folded all the way around to the two players to his right, James Mendoza in the small blind and Greg "Greg Goes All-in" Liow in big.
Mendoza led out with 12,000 on the flop of 9♣ T♠ 8♣ . Without hesitation, Liow goes all-in making Nakamura fold.
Mendoza and Liow have a little bit of an exchange with Liow ending the chat with, "you can fold."
But Mendoza didn't need the advice of Liow and made a one chip call putting Liow at risk and taking them to showdown.
Greg Liow: 6♥ 7♥
James Mendoza: Q♦ 9♦
Mendoza should have listened to Liow as his pair and gutshot were far behind Liow's made straight. Upon seeing this Mendoza started setting his chips aside to match Liow's all-in.
The turn Q♣ did give Mendoza further outs but the 2♦ river sealed Liow's double up.
