Once again it was a battle between Gregory Liow and George Karvounis. Karvounis had opened from middle-position and Greg called from the button.

The big-blind also went along.

On 9♣ 3♠ 3♥ Karvounis continued with a 3,600 bet.

Greg called and they went heads-up to the 3♦ turn.

Karvounis did not slow down and continued with a bet of 5,200. Greg did not go anywhere and called.

The river was the 5♠ and the aggressor put Greg to the test. He moved all-in, covering Greg's remaining 17,000. After a couple of minutes of intense thinking time, Greg did decide on a call.

George Karvounis: A♠ T♠

Great hero call by Greg, who will be thrilled going into day 2 tomorrow.

Once more Gregory Liow and George Karvounis clashed against each other with Greg again keeping the upper hand.

The board read J♣ 4♣ 3♥ 3♣ 7♦ and Karvounis bet 6,500 into a pot of around 12,000.

On the button Greg responded with a raise to 22,000.

Karvounis let his hand go and Gregory Liow is slowly, but surely building a stack.

We have another hand to report on our favourite Greg. On 9♠ 8♦ 7♥ T♥ 4♣ bet Karvounis 6,000 into a pot of 10,000.

His opponents were, Greg in the small-blind, and Jason Magbanua in the big-blind.

After some deliberation time, Greg moved all-in for 44,500. Both players folded.

Greg defended his big-blind against George Karvounis late-position open.

On K♦ J♠ 6♠ Greg opted for a check-call.

The 4♥ on the turn went without any action.

The 8♥ was the river and Greg went for a big bet of 4,800 chips. After some tanking did Karvounis decide to fold.

Shunsuke Okamoto opened from middle-position and John Baider went along for the ride, before Youtube superstar Gregory Liow pumped it up to 6,000.

Okamoto was having none of this and raised to 15,000.

Greg had to admit defeat.
