Khoa Anh Wins APT Jeju High Roller for KRW 261M (~USD 186K) & APT Championship Main Event Seat

The APT Jeju High Roller is yet another record-breaking event held at the 2025 APT Jeju Festival. The final flagship event of the festival smashed the player entry record for a Korean held APT High Roller event drawing 305 players (192 unique) & generating a total prize pool of KRW 1,317,600,000 (~USD 941,140), almost doubling the KRW 700,000 guarantee.
Ending at the top of the record-breaking event was Vietnam’s Khoa Anh, who took home the title, the KRW 261,400,000 (~USD 186,715) first-place prize, and an APT Championship ticket for the ATPC Main Event in November, worth USD 10,000 not forgetting the coveted APT Rose Gold Lion Trophy.
Anh defeated Germany’s Fabian Gumz in a one-handed heads-up battle to secure his name in the APT history books. This win marks Anh’s first ever APT Title and with this being his largest ever recorded cash prize has taken his lifetime earnings across the USD 1,000,000 milestone and secured him a spot in the top ten on Vietnam’s all-time top money earner list.

A total of 68 players took their seats for Day 2, and the last 39 standing made the money and a minimum cash of KRW 8,990,000 (~USD 6,420). Hong Kong’s Chi Ngong Tang started the day with the largest stack and even though he made it through to the final table could not close it out and finished in fourth place.
The money bubble was a short affair after about four hours of play with Macau’s Chon Chan being the unfortunate bubble boy.
After about eight hours of play, the field was reduced to a final table of nine players after China’s Hui Chen was eliminated in tenth spot as the final table bubble boy.
Anh came in as the final table chip leader with a commanding lead over the rest of the pack led by China’s Jieming Xu.
First to get eliminated from the final table was APT Tour regular Taiwan’s Poseidon Ho when his pocket kings got cracked in a brutal fashion by Tang's pocket sevens.
Next to go was Thailand’s Tattana Pengduen when his top pair ran into Gumz’s turned straight.
Sent to the rail in seventh was China’s Chengxu Hu whose shove with king-six was unfortunate to run into Anh’s ace-king.
Our sixth-place finisher was China’s Yingjun Lu whose jam with ace-six ran into Xu’s pocket kings and couldn’t improve.
Sent home in fifth spot was China’s Zhaoyi Lin when his king-queen ran into Gumz’s well disguised slow played pocket rockets.
Finishing just off the podium in fourth spot was Hong Kong’s Tang when his jam with queen-jack was called off by Ahn’s pocket eights and couldn’t improve.
Xu was sent home in third, picking up his biggest ever career cash, when his jam with ace-eight ran into Anh’s pocket kings that flopped quads.
The heads-up match between Anh & Gumz kicked off with Gumz as three-to-two underdog and lasted all of one hand!
The final hand saw Gumz jam all in with king-queen and get snapped off by Anh with ace-eight hitting an ace on the flop to seal Gumz’s runner-up spot and give Anh his first APT Title along with the KRW 261,400,000 (~USD 186,715) first place prize and not forgetting the additional APT Championship ticket for the ATPC Main Event in November.
This concludes our coverage of the APT Jeju at Landing Casino. We are looking forward to you joining us for all the action at the APT Championship Series in Taipei running 14th November to 30th November 2025.
