Sergei Korzhenko Comes Out On Top Of Flight B of the VND 25 Billion GTD APT Main Event

Flight B of the VND 36M APT Main Event has concluded with 204 entries (156 unique) generated following six 45-minute and four 60-minute levels, with 66 players bagging up their chips and coming back for Day 2 on Thursday, Nov. 14th.
Russia's Sergei Korzhenko sits at the top of the leaderboard after consistently chipping up throughout the day. He will start Day 2 with 372,300 chips. For a few levels of the day, he could be observed engaging in exciting battles with fellow big stack Nang Quang Nguyen who was sitting on his left.
The Vietnamese professional, with over USD 1 million in live earnings, ended the day second in chips, bagging 323,000. The podium of Flight B was completed by the China's Kaihua Huang with 306,200 chips. Huang continued the great run he is having here at APT Phu Quoc after winning Event #11 Super Hyper Turbo, and finishing in 4th place in Event #28 Tick Tock Boom!.

One player who will certainly be excited for Day 2 of the Main Event is Vietnam's own Pham Thanh Nghia. In one of the last hands of the day his pocket queens helped him to finish with 235,600, which puts him into the top 10 chip counts.
A nationality that will be represented well on Day 2 is Thailand with ten players in Flight B making it through. Both Phanlert Sukonthachartnant (171,300), and Kannapong Thanarattrakul (152,200) are two players to look out for on Thursday, sitting in #4 and #2 respectively on the Thailand All-Time Money List.
Other notables to make it through include Singapore's The Naing (139,500), Australia's Yita Choong (121,000), Cypriot bracelet winner Georgios Skarparis (97,100), Sweden's Mikael Andersson (88,800), and the Philippines' David Erquiaga (43,800).

In one of the last hands of Flight B Pham Nghia opened from middle-position and An Binh next to him moved all-in for 11,800. Sehoon Yoon in late-position raised to 25,000 and Nghia had a decision to make. After a couple of minutes he decided on a call.
The flop came down T♥ T♠ 5♥ which Nghia and Yoon both checked.
On the 4♣ turn Nghia bet 16,000 which Yoon called. The 2♦ river went without action.

Action was picked up on a completed board as Pham Thanh Nghia raised to 30,000 following a 13,000 bet from Nguyen Hoa Thinh.

Nghia Turns a Full House for a Double Up
