Both saw a flop of T♥ 8♦ Q♥ , and Neilson checked the action to Westmorland, who then fired out 125,000. However, this didn’t deter Neilson from shoving all in. After few seconds, Westmorland made the call to put his opponent at risk.

William Teoh is the Day 1 chip leader of the PHP 600,000 (~USD $10,300) APT Super High Roller. The Malaysian won a massive pot against second-in chips John Matsuda late in Day 1, putting him in a great starting position for Day 2.

A total of 59 entries (42 unique) led to a total prize pool standing at a mouth-watering PHP 32,621,100 (~USD $545,560) and the eventual winner taking home a PHP 9,785,100 (~USD $166,350) top prize.

Teoh accumulated a total of 3,550,000 in chips over the sixteen 40-minute levels played. A fourth place in this tournament would mean a career-high score for him. He achieved his best score at the 2022 APT Manila Championship which he finished in second position for PHP 2,797,700.

Second in chips with 1,770,000 finished the New Zeeland professional Vincent Huang. Throughout the day he could be seen chipping up nicely, never losing any huge pots. Closely following him comes seasoned pro Paulius Plausinaitis with 1,390,000. Other notable names making it to Day 2 include Jordan Westmorland (1,245,000), Nevan Chang (1,070,000), Thomas Ward (1,030,000), and Daniel Neilson (765,000).

Out of the 12 remaining players, 8 will make it to the money, but all eyes will be on the glorious Lion Trophy. For sure, it will be an action packed day which can either be followed on the live blog or via the live stream.

Nevan Chang opened to 32,000 on the button, and Daniel Neilson re-raised to 475,000. Chang shoved all in, which Neilson called of his last few chips.

The board swiftly came 9♣ 8♦ 9♥ J♣ 7♣ favoring Neilson, who evened out Chang’s stack when the tournament entered the last two levels.

Playing only five handed, Thomas Ward opened from early-position and got three-bet by Daniel Neilson to 90,000 in the big-blind. He made the call and both players were off to a flop.

The flop came down 5♣ 3♥ 3♣ and Neilson continued with a 95,000 bet. Ward called. The turn brought the spicy A♠ and Neilson put out another half pot bet, equaling 180,000 chips. Ward looked annoyed, saying his hand is too strong to fold. But yet, decided to let his cards go. "You had Jacks?" Neilson asked his opponent. "I had Tens" he said with a chuckle.

Trong Hieu Ngo raised the button to 10,000 and only Daniel Neilson made the call from the big blind.

Neilson check-called on the flop of Q♠ 8♣ 4♣ after a continuation bet of 7,000 from Ngo. The two read a K♥ on the turn, where Neilson checked to Ngo, who fired 25,000 before his opponent called

The river revealed a 5♣ , and Neilson kept in check-call mode when Ngo fired out 65,000 this time. Ngo showed a flopped set of queens with Q♣ Q♦ , leaving Neilson no motivation to show his cards.

Trong Hieu Ngo raised to 6,000 from under the gun, and Daniel Neilson three-bet to 20,000 from the cutoff, which Ngo called.

The flop dealt 6♥ J♠ A♦ , and Ngo check-called after Neilson bet 12,000. Both saw a 2♠ turn, where Ngo kept his check-called mode in this street as Neilson bet 60,000.
