Noda Forces a Fold From Fu

Hiroyuki Noda opened to 1,600 from early position and was called by Xiaohua Fu on the button and Shaoshuai Li in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Li checked to Noda, who continued for 2,000 on the T♣ K♥ 9♣ flop. Fu called, but Li got out of the way.

Noda then check-called a 5,000 bet from Fu before announcing he was all in after the A♠ completed the board.

Fu's call would cost him his remaining 20,000 and he went deep into the tank before opting to lay his hand down - conceding the pot to Noda.

Lykov in the Lead

Maxim Lykov appears to be the only player in the field who has breached a six-figure stack, currently sitting on around 135,000, after taking down a hefty five-way pot.

Suzuki Ayaka raised to 1,600 from early position and was called by cutoff Tae Hoon Han, button Seiji Haishi plus blinds Lykov and Takahiro Sui.

The dealer fanned the Q♥ J♦ 9♥ flop and both blinds checked before Ayaka continued for 3,000. Han and Haishi folded, as well as Sui, with only Lykov sticking around.

The K♥ landed on the turn and both checked it through to the 7♦ river, where Lykov led for 10,000. Ayaka looked at the sky for inspiration, or perhaps asking the Poker Gods for some luck, before making the call.

Lykov turned over J♥ 6♥ for a flush and Ayaka mucked.

"Was the flop ace-jack-king or ace-ten-king?" Hasler asked.

APPT National Flight A Underway at 11:00 AM

Flight A of the APPT National gets underway at 11:00 AM at Paradise City Incheon, the biggest guaranteed event on the APPT Korea 2026 schedule ahead of the Main Event itself.

The KRW 1,200,000 buy-in tournament carries a KRW 250,000,000 guarantee, with players receiving 30,000 starting stacks and 60-minute levels throughout the opening flights.

Registration for Flight A remains open until 18:40 local time today, with Flight B following tomorrow at 11:00 and a turbo Flight C at 18:30.

Players are permitted to enter more than one flight in an attempt to qualify for Day 2, with those who bag from multiple flights bringing their largest stack forward and receiving a min-cash for any additional qualifying stacks.

Day 2 takes place on Wednesday, September 9, with the final day on September 10. A shot clock will be implemented from the start of Day 2, with each player receiving four 30-second time bank extensions, plus an additional four on the final table.

Upon reaching the final table, the tournament transitions from a timed level structure to a hands-per-level format.

Adding further incentive, the top five finishers will each receive a KRW 1,800,000 APPT Korea Main Event seat as part of the prize pool.
