With an impressive late surge during Flight B of the APPT Open, Maxwell Rosete bagged the overall chip lead of the three flights. Rosete closed with a towering 560,000 (112 bb), edging out Flight C's Norway’s Birger Larsen by a single small blind to secure the top spot among all 53 players advancing to Day 2. Flight B attracted the largest crowd by far of 208 entries with only 31 reaching ITM from this heat.
