Jean Philippe Testa of France opens from UTG for 1,500 and is greeted by a 3-bet from England’s Guy Taylor on the button for 3,500. From the SB, however, Kyle Bao Diep of Vietnam 4-bets it to 8,500 as Testa 5-bet shoves all-in for 30,000. Taylor folds while Bao calls for his tournament life.

Testa flips over A♥ Q♥ while Bao shows Q♦ Q♣ .

The Frenchman missed his three-outer on the subsequent runout: 7♦ 3♦ 2♠ 2♦ 5♣ as the Vietnamese player doubles up and Testa sees his chips reduced to below the starting stack.

The action begins in the lowjack where Le Thong Su of Vietnam raises it to 800. France’s Jean Philippe Testa makes the call from the SB while Andrei Kalgin of Russia comes along from the BB.

The flop is 9♣ 9♦ 2♣ as the blinds check, Le unloads 1,000. Testa folds but Kalgin comes to life and check-raises to 2,700. Le calls. Heads Up now to the turn, it comes as the T♦ as the Russian declares that he is all-in. Le makes the call.

Kalgin turns over 9♠ 3♠ while the Vietnamese player shows J♣ J♠ . Needing to hit a two-outer with one card to go, the river fails Le as the 4♣ arrives.

Le has been sidelined for the moment.

Jean Philippe Testa of France limps in from the lowjack and he is joined by Indonesian poker personality Mr. Suhendra but then China’s Wang Yanfeng raises it up to 1,700 from the SB. The limpers make the call.

The flop goes Q♦ 4♦ Q♥ as Wang CBets to 2,000. Testa calls but then Suhendra jams for 27,000. Wang gives it a think before folding while Testa quickly calls. The Frenchman covers Suhendra.

The Indonesian shows K♦ 5♦ for a flush draw while Testa tables 4♠ 4♣ for a full house on the flop. Needing running cards for a miraculous escape, the turn is the 5♠ and the river is the T♠ .

Suhendra is busted for now as Testa’s stack is on the rise.

Latvia’s Peteris Enders raises from UTG for 300 and is greeted with a re-raise from Jean Philippe Testa of France from the hijack to 800. Enders makes the call.
