Le Ngoc Minh Tops Final 24 Players

Level 22: 10,000 / 20,000 ante: 20,000
Le Ngoc Minh

After seven levels of scheduled play, Day 2 of the APPT Cambodia Main Event wrapped up with 24 players remaining led by Vietnam's Le Ngoc Minh with a commanding 91 bb stack. To compare, Minh's closest challenger was Belarusian Ivan Karatayeu with 71 bb. Rounding out the top three was South Africa's Edgar Antezana with 66 bb.

Helping the leader Minh reach those heights was by taking down Jakkapong Sreprasom with Q 9 full house on the flop that crushed K K . From there, Minh grinded steadily into the top spot.

Also making the cut were Yuanning Wu - 2023 APPT Manila Main Event - with a decent stack of 33 bb, Huu Dung Nguyen who finished 16th at this event in 2023 however he has his work cut out with just 6 bb, and Filipino Mike Takayama who came close to an APPT title back in 2019 with a third place finish, he is in good shape with 50 bb.

Bubble!

On the flip side, Day 2 was brutal for many with 121 returning out of the 643 entries and the money starting at 95th place. None had it as bad as Yuan Yu who bubbled on a bad beat against Quang Trinh Do. Yu was all in with A K , Quang had A Q . Yu jumped further ahead on the flop K 7 2 , then was stunned by the runner runner T and J for a straight to Quang.

APPT Cambodia 2025 Main Event Day 2 commences today, 95 to ITM

Level 16: 2,000 / 5,000 ante: 5,000

With 121 runners set to dive back into the action, it will now be a question of who can make it among the 95 individuals who will get paid and who will be inching closer to the top prize of US$191,000 as Day 2 of the APPT Cambodia Main Event happens today (May 11th) here at the NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Cards take flight at 12:00PM (UCT+7).

**Scroll down for the Seat Draw and Chip Counts.

Once the Money Bubble bursts, the 95 that remain will be guaranteed US$2,700 as they work their way up the pay ladder and a shot at not only the biggest chunk of the US$1,000,000 GTD prize pool but also packages to the APPT Manila Championship and APPT Manila Main Event this coming October.

A total of 643 entries saw action since Thursday’s Day 1A and the 24 that advanced from that Day 1A now get to be in the trenches with the 26 from Day 1B, the 45 from Day 1C and the 26 that will be operating with the least rest, having qualified from last night’s Day 1D Turbo that went on way past midnight.

Among the notables still in the running are former APPT Main Event champion Alexander Puchalski of Canada who was among the Day 1B advancers, Korea’s Kim Donghyup (last year’s Main Event Runner-up) from Day 1D, 2023 APPT Manila Main Event titlist Wu Yuanning (from Day 1A) and Aladin Reskallah of Canada who took down the Pokerstars Red Dragon event at last year’s APPT Manila Championship—also making it through from the Turbo flight.

The overall chip leader is Taiwan’s Bo Su who led Day 1B with 521,000 while not far behind is Day 1C boss Hao He of China with 518,000. Another Chinese player in Li Shankui (who was second overall from Day 1B) sits at third with 487,000. Day 1A chip leader Nguyen Hoa Thinh of Vietnam is currently in seventh with 375,000 while Day 1D’s Victor Chong of Malaysia is in 22nd with 248,000.

It will be important to note that starting Day 2, the blinds levels are increased to 60 minutes (from the original 40 minutes) and the tournament resumes at Level 16 – 2,000/5,000 (5,000). Day 2 will play to the end of ten levels.
