APPT National $150K GTD Flight A Starts At 11:30AM

Get ready for action to heat up at the 4th Annual APPT Cambodia as the tour enters its fourth day in Phnom Penh, featuring the APPT National. A staple on the schedule, this event offers players a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool and the chance to hoist the first PokerStars shard trophy of the season. The event runs from May 5 to 8, kicked off by three starting flights at the NagaWorld Grand Ballroom.

For the past two years, this event has seen its guarantee crushed giving no reason for this edition to be any different. With the festival now three days in, the crowd has been steadily growing.

Among the players spotted and expected to hit the tables were Amit Kaushik, Kyle Bao Diep, Frank Lillis, Rayhaan Adam, Mike Takayama, Bien Mai, Aladin Reskallah, Leo Soma, Jinlong Hu and PokerStars LIVE Manila regulars Christian Cloutier and Joseph Magnotti.

To enter, buy-in is $1000 with late registration available until the end of Level 10. Players begin with a 30,000 stack which is a very deep and healthy 300 times the opening blinds. Blinds increase every 40 minutes with the turbo flight increasing at a faster 20 minutes.

Today's Day 1A will see cards start flipping at 11:30AM local time. Somuchpoker is onsite to bring you the action.
