Double Bubble Bursts At PokerStars Red Dragon Flight B

Blinds: 2000/5000 Ante 5000 (Level 16)
With a struggling stack just a little over 10BB, Ngoc Anh Cao took a peek at his hole cards, saw a monster hand and shoved 54,000 all-in from under the gun. With less than 10BB in his stack, Phanlert Sukonthatchartnant also found a big monster and also shoved his last 38,000 from the cut-off. Wooseon Kim would usually keep away, but when he peeked into his cards, he found the biggest monster of all and made the call.
AA vs KK vs JJ. AA wins! Woonseon Kim busts both to have a double bubble burst!
Phanlert Sukonthatchartnant busts out at 40 and is the officual bubble with the shorter stack.
Ngoc Anh Cao busts out at 39th place with the bigger stack, and is technically ITM. Cao just busts earlier than Day 2.

Mike Takayama Is The APPT One Million Challenge Champion!
14 entries bought in for PHP 1,000,000 (~US$ 17,100) to build a prize pool of PHP 13,172,600 (~US$ 225,000). Only the top three players would get in the payout circle. The biggest winner was none other than the Philippines' very own Mike Takayama, who bested Australian pro Stevan Chew in heads-up battle. Takayama adds another PokerStars spade trophy to his collection and pads up his total live earnings with an additional PHP 6,587,600 (~US$ 112,000).
Takayama has already made two cashes in this PokerStars Live APPT Manila Championship series. He bagged two runner-up finishes at the PHP 25,000 NLH Okada Kickoff and at the PHP 150,000 NLH - Mini High Roller. Takayama won over PHP 1,000,000 both times. Of course, while second place finishes pay well, there is still nothing like winning a championship, and Takayama must be elated to finally get over that slight hump with a championship win here.
Stevan Chew took home PHP 3,950,000 (~US$ 67,000) for his second place finish.
Michael Soyza earned PHP 2,635,000 (~US$ 45,000) for finishing at third, rounding up the ITM payouts.

Fujita Haruma Wins Ladies Event (Event #50)
One of the anticipated side events of the PokerStars LIVE APPT Manila Championship 2024 is the Ladies Event (Event #50) because... let's face it! It is much easier on the eyes to see women poker faces rather than the men's. Of course, this is not only about eye-candy, but also because it is an event that showcases the talents of women in poker, which is mostly male-dominated. Hopefully, in the future, that will change.
The Ladies Event (Event #50) brought 41 entries to chip in the friendly fee of PHP 15,000 (US$ 260) to create a prize pool of PHP 524,964 (~US$ 9,000). The ladies competed for just a little over 8 hours with the top 6 gaining exclusive access to the payout party.
Finishing at top one was Fujita Haruma of Japan, who won for herself a PokerStars spade trophy and a champion's cash prize of PHP 181,964 (~US$ 3,100). Haruma bested Princess Joy Diniega of the Philippines in heads-up battle to win the championship. Diniega earned PHP 118,000 (~US$ 2,000) for the runner-up finish.
