The second key event of the APPT Manila Championship 2024, APPT Open, ran through its Day 2 games with the 61-survivor field down to its final nine players. Local pro Flo Campomanes closed the action with the lead, stacking a mighty 1,700,000 (68 BB) chip count onto the Final Day. Campomanes stormed up the ranks having secured a 100 BB pot off of Christopher Mateo by the last three tables. Gary Thompson follows just eight big blinds behind with 1,510,000 (60 BB).

Yan Wen Yee opened to 50,000 and snap called big blind Joris Michl's all-in for 640,000 (25 BB) total. Tabling a premium pair, Yee quickly delivered the elimination as board 8♣ 3♠ 5♥ 9♣ J♥ ran on the felt.

Jeremy Jehanne committed his entire 340,000 and faced button raiser Yan Wen Yee's pocket pair for a flip. Yee quickly spiked a set on board 6♥ Q♥ 5♣ 8♣ 3♣ , crushing Jehanne's hopes of the title.

First hand after the break saw Aladin Reskallah shove for 186,000, called by Yan Wen Yee on the big blind. Running a flip, Yee landed a set on board Q♣ 8♥ 9♦ 2♥ T♦ to knock Reskallah out entirely.

Button Yan Wen Yee opened to 32,000 and called off vs Jeremy Jehanne's 224,000 (13 BB) all-in. A crucial flip, Jehanne secured the double up as board 3♦ 7♠ T♦ 6♥ 3♣ felted none of his opponent's overcards.

Julian Warhurst opened to 25,000, joined by both Yan Wen Yee and Joris Michl on the big blind. Action on flop K♣ T♠ A♣ was checked to Yee who bet 30,000. Michl made the call yet folded following a raise to 85,000 from Warhurst. Turn 5♠ went check check, revealing river A♦ . Yee leads for 85,000 and ships the pot after Warhurst threw in the fold.
