The second key event of the APPT Manila Championship 2024, APPT Open, ran through its Day 2 games with the 61-survivor field down to its final nine players. Local pro Flo Campomanes closed the action with the lead, stacking a mighty 1,700,000 (68 BB) chip count onto the Final Day. Campomanes stormed up the ranks having secured a 100 BB pot off of Christopher Mateo by the last three tables. Gary Thompson follows just eight big blinds behind with 1,510,000 (60 BB).

On turn K♥ , Wakeman led for 105,000 and snap called for his 179,000 behind after Edoc moved all-in. Up against an early open, Lester Edoc pushed all-in and saw Stevan Chew behind, push likewise for 215,000. Initial raiser folds and the two run board J♣ 4♦ A♦ 6♣ A♥ . Window card instantly revealed Edoc's two outer, improving further to a full house for the win.

Christopher Mateo opened to 20,000, joined by three other players on flop 3♥ 2♥ 5♠ . Small blind Lester Edoc led for 30,000, followed by an all-in behind from Vladislavs Azans for 112,000 total.
