Hand #47: Up against a cutoff open, Julian Warhurst moves all-in for 465,000 (11 BB) and Dohwan Kim pushes behind likewise. Initial raiser folds and board K♣ 5♠ 6♠ 5♣ 5♥ , sends Warhurst out of the running.

Hand #38: Dohwan Kim completes on the big blind against Matthew Wakeman's late position open. Board 9♠ 8♦ 7♠ T♥ 7♥ was checked to the river where Kim led for 45,000, Wakeman with a fold.

Hand #39: Julian Warhurst open shoves 440,000 (11 BB), called by Lester Edoc on the big blind. In for a flip, Warhurst's pocket pair holds on board 3♣ 3♥ 4♦ 5♥ 9♠ , and Edoc shoots down.

Hand #5: Julian Warhurst open shoves on the button and rakes in no callers.

Hand #6: Flo Campomanes completes on the big blind vs an open from Julian Warhurst. On flop 2♠ 5♠ J♣ , Campomanes check raises to 150,000 and goes for another 300,000 on turn T♥ . Warhurst uses two time banks and folds. Campomanes shows J♥ .

The second key event of the APPT Manila Championship 2024, APPT Open, ran through its Day 2 games with the 61-survivor field down to its final nine players. Local pro Flo Campomanes closed the action with the lead, stacking a mighty 1,700,000 (68 BB) chip count onto the Final Day. Campomanes stormed up the ranks having secured a 100 BB pot off of Christopher Mateo by the last three tables. Gary Thompson follows just eight big blinds behind with 1,510,000 (60 BB).

On board T♥ K♣ K♥ A♣ Q♣ , Thompson barreled all three streets - 45,000, 85,000, and a final all-in by the river, with Warhurst calling him down all the way. Thompson shows T♠ 6♥ , no good against Warhurst's trip kings K♠ 5♠ .

Julian Warhurst opened to 25,000, joined by both Yan Wen Yee and Joris Michl on the big blind. Action on flop K♣ T♠ A♣ was checked to Yee who bet 30,000. Michl made the call yet folded following a raise to 85,000 from Warhurst. Turn 5♠ went check check, revealing river A♦ . Yee leads for 85,000 and ships the pot after Warhurst threw in the fold.

Julian Warhurst opened to 25,000 and saw Gary Thompson complete from the big blind to see flop 9♥ T♦ 2♦ . Warhurst continued for 42,000, and fired another 120,000 on turn A♣ . Thompson check called one bet but gave it up after Warhurst barreled a second one.

The day's second break sees only 24 players remain in the running for the APPT Open title, each guaranteed PHP 206,000 in prizes. Local pro Florencio Campomanes currently leads the charge, being the sole runner holding down a seven digit chip count.
