Mateo steps on Kim Woojin's aces

Level 19: 5,000 / 10,000 ante: 10,000
Christopher Mateo

Filipino pro Christopher Mateo makes a raise from the +1 position and when the action is folded to Korea's Kim Woojin in the HJ, he re-raises to 60,000. Mateo makes the call.

The flop comes 7 7 J to which Mateo nnounces that he is all-in, Kim snap calls him for his remaining 104,000.

Mateo shows 6 6 while Kim turns over A A . The turn brought out the 7 to have the Filipino drawing dead against a superior full house of his opponent. The 9 on the river sealed the deal as Kim doubles through.

Bao busts Haverkamp, gets from Kim

Level 18: 4,000 / 8,000 ante: 8,000
Pham Bao

Making a raise from early position is Korea's Kim Woojin to 16,000 and gets a call from American John Joseph Panish. However, Ronald Haverkamp from The Netherlands re-raises all-in for 98,000 followed by a 4-bet all-in from Pham Bao of Vietnam ensues. Kim joins in a three-way. Haverkamp is the one at risk.

Flopping top pair, Bao stays ahead for good and the win rails the Dutchman and dents Kim's stack.

Kim Woojin calls down Skarparis

Level 17: 3,000 / 6,000 ante: 6,000
Kim Woojin

APPT National champion Chen Zhen of China starts the action by raising from the +2 position to 12,000 and gets a phalanx of four callers in Korean Kim Woojin in the HJ, Georgios Skarparis of Cyprus in the CO, American John Joseph Panish in the D and Vietnam's Pham Bao in the BB.

The flop is 3 5 Q as Pham, Cen and Kim check. Skarparis, however, leads out for 22,000. Panish, Bao and Chen fold, but Kim makes the ccall. Heads up to the turn of the 3, Kim and Skaparis both decide to check. The river is the J as Kim checks again. This time the Cypriot fires 32,000. Kim calls.

Skarparis shows 6 6 while Kim tables K Q for top pair on the flop and takes down the pot, reducing Skaparis' stack to less than 100,000.
