It took just over three hours of final table play for Korean player Hyeonsik Yun to hoist his career first APPT title and shard trophy. Yun entered the final day as chip leader, lost the lead to Michael Kim Falcon, then regained it on a cooler with full house over straight and never looked back. On the final hand, Yun won with a dramatic straight on the river, dusting Falcon's ladies to seize the US$ 44,350 top prize.

Congratulations to the champ! This was also Yun's first ever PokerStars cash.

The turn 6♣ keeps Falcon ahead but the river 5♦ is exactly what he didn't want to see to fall to the straight in 2nd place.

Hand #77: Hyeonsik Yun raises then folds to Michael Kim Falcon's three-bet all in.

Hand #73: Hyeonsik Yun finally stops Michael Kim Falcon's rush by raising 150,000 then c-betting 100,000 on a flop T♥ T♣ 5♣ . Falcon folds.

Hand #74: Another pot for Hyeonsik Yun who calls Michael Kim Falcon's button raise of 125,000 to see the flop T♣ J♦ 8♠ . Both check to the turn 5♠ . Falcon takes a stab for 100,000, Hyeonsik check-raises 350,000, Falcon calls. More chips go in on the river Q♦ starting with Hyeonsik's 250,000 bet, Falcon raises 800,000, Hyeonsik calls, Falcon quickly mucks his hand.

Hand #67: Hyeonsik Yun wins first hand of heads up by raising from the button and Michael Kim Falcon folding.

Hand #68: Michael Kim Falcon opens 125,000 and big blind Hyeonsik Yun defends for a flop 5♣ 4♥ Q♦ . Falcon continues 130,000 and wins the pot.

Hand #69: Big blind Michael Kim Falcon raises 160,000 from the big blind and limper Hyeonsik Yun folds.

Hand #70: Button Michael Kim Falcon raises 125,000 and this time the call is made for a flop of 7♥ 3♦ 9♠ . Falcon c-bets 150,000 and claims his third consecutive pot.

Hand #71: Following a limp, Michael Kim Falcon raises his big blind for 150,000 and rakes it in for his fourth consecutive pot.

Hand #72: Fifth consecutive pot for Michael Kim Falcon with his 175,000 raise uncalled.

It is now heads up for the first APPT Cambodia Shard Trophy of APPT Cambodia and a payout of US$ 44,350!

Ace high is totally crushed by Hyeonsik's 6♦ 2♠ boat to fall in 3rd place.

Hand #59: On a limped pot and a checked flop, Michael Kim Falcon bets 100,000 on a board and Hyeonsik Yun folds.

Hand #60: On a raised pot preflop by Michael Kim Falcon, no bets land until the turn 2♥ 5♠ 9♥ 4♣ . Adrien Berger check-calls. Both players check the river 3♥ . Falcon flips open K♦ Q♦ , Berger wins the pot with K♠ 5♣ pair.

Hand #61: Small blind Adrien Berger limps in then folds to big blind Michael Kim Falcon's 175,000 raise.

Hand #62: From the button, Adrien Berger raises 125,000 and is matched by big blind Hyeonsik Yun. On the flop T♣ T♠ 4♦ , Berger c-bets 100,000 and wins the pot outright.

Hand #63: Open raise by button Michael Kim Falcon finds no callers.

Hand #64: Michael Kim Falcon gets a walk.

Hand #65: Small blind Michael Kim Falcon raises 130,000 and big blind Hyeonsik Yun wants to see the flop. Both players check down to the river 3♥ 6♣ 8♦ 3♣ A♥ , Falcon bets 100,000 then quickly folds to Hyeonsik's 400,000 raise.

Hand #58: From the big blind, Michael Kim Falcon defends the big blind from Hyeonsik Yun's 125,000 then both go the distance 8♥ T♥ 4♦ 6♦ 5♣ . Falcon bets every street 150,000, 300,000, 420,000, Hyeonsik calls then mucks T♦ 7♦ straight.

Hand #57: Hyeonsik Yun is back on top after a monster double up against the leader Michael Kim Falcon. Hand opens with a button raise from Falcon that's met with a 350,000 re-raise from small blind Hyeonsik. Falcon calls and they head to the flop T♠ 8♠ A♣ .

Hyeonsik c-bets 150,000 and Falcon calls. On the turn 8♥ , it is checked to Falcon who bets 250,000, called by Hyeonsik. On the river J♣ it's fireworks with Falcon firing 550,000, Hyeonsik check-raises all in for 2,205,000, Falcon calls and shows 7♥ 9♥ straight. Hyeonsik has him beat with A♠ A♦ full house.

Hand #55: Hyeonsik Yun comes barrels down by first raising 125,000 that's called by big blind Michael Kim Falcon. Hyeonsik c-bets 75,000 at the flop K♣ A♠ 3♦ , then 300,000 on the turn 2♦ . Falcon folds to the big bet.

Hand #56: Small blind Michael Kim Falcon opens 125,000, Hyeonsik Yun folds his big blind.

Hand #54: From the button, Michael Kim Falcon min-raises, big blind Adrien Berger calls, then both pass on the flop 8♥ 2♥ T♠ . No more friendliness on the turn 7♦ with 100,000 coming from Falcon's corner. Berger check-calls for the river A♥ . Falcon fires 225,000 this time, Berger check-calls once more then mucks to A♦ 7♣ two pair.

Hyeonsik's small pair is one point higher than Falcon's smaller pair to claim the pot.

With Falcon hitting the pair, he ensured himself the win while booting Sanchez in the process.

Hand #51: Back to back takedowns by Adrien Berger with Ihor Yerofieiev as his next victim. Yerofieiev is all in for his last 3 bb holding A♦ 6♦ and Berger defends the big blind with 4♣ 2♠ . The board favors the caller running 4♠ 7♦ 3♦ 4♥ 3♠ full house to bounce out Yerofieiev in 5th place.

With an ace finding the board, Tate's ladies falls to ashes into 6th place.

Hand #47: From the small blind, Ron Tate goes all in for his last 125,000 (2.5 bb) and big blind Michael Kim Falcon doesn't want to chip him up.

Hand #48: Small blind Michael Kim Falcon limps in and then bets 75,000 on the flop T♥ J♦ K♣ . Big blind Hyeonsik Yun folds.

Hand #49: From the buton, Michael Kim Falcon bumps it up 125,000 and small blind Hyeonsik Yun calls. Falcon continues his aggression with a 150,000 c-bet that Hyeonsik check-calls. Both tap felt on the turn 6♦ and river 2♠ . Falcon shows 6♥ 7♦ pair for the pot.

Hand #45-46: Ron Tate opens 80,000, gets popped by Michael Kim Falcon to 200,000, Tate calls for a flop 5♥ 4♦ 7♥ . After Tate checks, Falcon fires 200,000, Tate folds after a time bank is used.

Following that hand, Tate defends the big blind and calls Hyeonsik Yun's min-raise. On the flop T♥ A♥ 9♠ , Tate check-raises 160,000 and Hyeonsik sticks around for the turn K♥ . Tate leads out 130,000, Hyeonsik jams, Tate tanks for three time banks then folds.

Hand #43: Hyeonsik Yun limps in and big blind Ihor Yerofieiev checks. Both players stay friendly at the flop 4♣ 5♥ 7♥ then Yerofieiev bets 40,000 on the turn 6♣ . Hyeonsik calls and once again it back to checking on the river 6♠ . Yerofieiev wins the pot with 9♠ 7♦ two pair over 9♣ 5♦ lower two pair.

Hand #35: Francisco Sanchez raises a large 250,000, no callers.

Hand #36: Francisco Sanchez raises 200,000 and still no callers.

Hand #37: Button player Michael Kim Falcon raises 90,000 then goes to the flop with caller Ihor Yerofieiev. No bets land on the flop 4♠ J♣ 2♦ , Falcon bets 100,000 on the turn 8♠ . Yerofieiev folds.

Hand #38: Hyeonsik Yun opens then folds to Ihor Yerofieiev's three-bet all in.

Hand #39: Hyeonsik Yun raises 90,000, no callers.

Hand #40: Francisco Sanchez Raises 200,000, again no callers for his fourth pot without a call.

Hand #41: Big blind Michael Kim Falcon walks.

Hand #42: Small blind Michael Kim Falcon raises to 120,000 and takes the big blind and ante.

Hand #30: Adrien Berger raises 300,000 and gets no action.

Hand 31: Small blind Hyeonsik Yun raises 80,000 and wins the big blind and ante.

Hand #32: Hyeonsik Yun jams his massive stack from the button, no takers.

Hand #33: Big blind Adrien Berger gets a walk.

With the board running 2♣ 7♠ 2♥ K♣ 8♣, Yerofieiev scores his second double up to stay in the game.

Hand #27: Jeorge Lagatuz open shoves 325,000, no takers.

Hand # 28: Adrien Berger open shoves 425,000, no takers.

Hand #24: Big blind Ihor Yerofieiev calls Michael Kim Falcon's button raise and both check to the turn 6♦ 4♦ 2♠ J♥ . Following a check, Falcon bets 100,000, and Yerofieiev calls to see the river Q♣ . Another check from Yerofieiev gets a shove from Falcon. Yerofieiev doesn't risk it his last 4 bb.

Hand #25: Down to 4 bb, Yerofieiev goes all in from the small blind with 9♦ 8♠ and needs help against caller Jeorge Lagatuz's A♦ 8♣ . When the flop lands 3♦ 6♣ 9♥ , Yerofieiev improves, which holds on the turn J♣ and river T♦ .

Hand #21: Hyeonsik Yun gets a call on his 80,000 raise then folds to Ron Tate's 100,000 bet on a flop J♠ J♥ T♣ .

Hand #22: Big blind Michael Kim Falcon gets a walk.

Hand #23: Button raise of 40,000 by Ron Tate is defended by big blind Hyeonsik Yun. Both check to the turn K♠ 5♠ 9♠ 5♦ , Tate bets 45,000 and wins the pot on a fold.

Hand #17: Jeorge Lagatuz raises and finds no callers.

Hand #18: Michael Kim Falcon has taken a chunk out of Hyeonsik Yun to slide up top. Falcon initiated the action, raising 65,000 that's called by Hyeonsik. On the flop A♠ 6♣ 5♥ , Falcon checks then raises from 60,000 to 125,000. Hyeonsik calls. After both check the turn 8♦ , Falcon sends out 350,000 on the river 5♣ , Hyeonsik tank-raises 800,000, Falcon uses two time banks then shoves 1,660,000, Hyeonsik gives it up after a minute.

Falcon shows his A♥ A♣ set, Hyeonsik also shows 5♦ 6♦ two pair.

With Falcon pairing his queen, Schulze goes down in 8th place.

Hand #12: Ron Tate opens 65,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #13: Jeorge Lagatuz opens 65,000, still no flop as everyone folds.

Hand #14: Big blind Michael Kim Falcon calls Oliver Schulze min-raise then check-calls on a board 9♥ K♣ 2♣ 6♦ for 65,000 and 130,000. On the river 8♥ , both check, Falcon has K♥ 4♣ top pair and collects his second good pot of the day.

Hand #15: Ron Tate bumps it up to 65,000 and is up against caller Hyeonsik Yun from the big blind. Both check to the turn 9♠ 8♦ 4♦ K♥ . Tate bets 120,000 and takes it down without a fight.

Hand #10-11: Hyeonsik Yun min-raises from cutoff, and big blind Jeorge Lagatuz doesn't bite. On the next deal, Hyeonsik opens 60,000 again, big blind Francisco Sanchez goes for it then folds on the 60,00 c-bet on the flop 8♠ 2♣ 8♦ .

Hand #9: Francisco Sanchez's 65,000 raise finds callers in cutoff Michael Kim Falcon and button Hyeonsik Yun. On the flop T♥ 2♠ J♠ , action is passed to Falcon, he lays out a 110,000 bet. Only Sanchez calls to the turn 7♣ . Falcon charges with a 210,000 bet and this time takes the pot uncontested.

Hand #7: Jeorge Lagatuz opens, then loses another pot to Hyeonsik Yun who jams, forcing Lagatuz to fold.

Hand #8: Action folds around to the small blind Hyeonsik Yun who opens, big blind Oliver Schulze folds for a third consecutive pot to the leader.

Hand #5: Ihor Yerofieiev opens 80,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #6: Hyeonsik Yun brings it up to 60,000 then calls hijack Jeorge Lagatuz's 150,000 three-bet. Lagatuz continues on the flop 5♠ 8♠ 3♠ , gets called again, then steps on the brakes on the turn 9♣ . Hyeonsik checks as well and the river comes 9♦ . Hyeonsik leads out 150,000 which is a quarter of Lagatuz's stack. Lagatuz tanks for two time banks then gives up his stake on the pot.

Hand #3-4: Back to back wins for Oliver Schulze who raises and wins the blinds and ante. Next hand, Schulze raises 60,000, big blind Adrien Berger calls. On the flop T♦ 3♣ 3♠ , Schulze c-bets 45,000 and just like, he wins the pot.

With the rivered ace, cowboys are crushed and Yamada finishes in 9th place.

Hand #1: Chip leader Hyeonsik Yun calls Francisco Sanchez's 65,000 raise and Ihor Yerofieiev joins from the big blind for a three way look at the flop 8♠ 7♠ 7♣ . Continuing the offense, Sanchez slides out 75,000 and only Hyeonsik wants to go to the turn 9♠ . Sanchez decides to slow down and check, Hyeonsik bets 125,000 which is enough to claim the pot unchallenged.

Cards are now flying at the APPT Cambodia with the APPT National Final 9 under the spotlight. The finalists are now guaranteed to turn their US$ 900 buy in into US$ 5,175 but of course the target will be the PokerStars Shard trophy and the US$ 44,350 top prize.
