Kurushima Hiroya Bags The Final 9 Chip Lead
The APPT Warm Up Main Event completed Day 2 with the field trimmed from 105 players to the Final 9. Two Japanese players secured their spot with Kurushima Hiroya at the very top and Hiroaki Terasaka bringing up the rear.
In numbers, three locals advanced and will try to keep the title on home court. Returning players are Ron Ryan Mesina, Badrudin Ampatuan, and Redentor Edoc. Impressively, Mesina was down to just 5 bb and recovered to bag up 19.
