My relationship with cards started thanks to my father. I was still in elementary school when he first taught me how to play Rummy, and I still remember the long evenings spent playing cards with my family. During the poker boom, I was still underage, but the televised tournaments immediately captured my attention. I became fascinated with the game and started learning different poker formats whenever I had the chance. Later in life, as an adult, I was fortunate enough to spend four years playing poker professionally. During that time, I mainly focused on Heads-Up Sit and Go games, where I found the format that suited me best. Even though my professional career was relatively short, poker remains something I’m grateful to have experienced as a major part of my life. Today, I play mostly as a hobby, while writing has become my main focus. That said, my enthusiasm for writing about poker is just as strong as my passion for playing the game once was.
Journalism & Expertise
I bring a personal, experience-driven perspective to poker writing, shaped by a lifelong connection to card games and a deep appreciation for the strategic depth of poker. That relationship began in childhood, when my father first taught me to play Rummy, and long evenings spent playing cards with my family laid the foundation for a lasting fascination with the world of cards.
When the poker boom captured global attention, I was still underage, but televised tournaments immediately drew me in. What began as curiosity quickly developed into a serious interest in the game, its structure, and its many formats. Over time, I explored poker whenever I had the chance, building a strong understanding of its different forms and the unique demands each one places on players.
Later, as an adult, I spent four years playing poker professionally, focusing primarily on Heads-Up Sit and Go games. That format proved to be the one best suited to my instincts, temperament, and strategic approach. Although my professional poker career was relatively short, it remains a defining and deeply valued chapter of my life.
Today, while writing has become my main focus and poker is now mostly part of my life as a hobby, my connection to the game remains as strong as ever. My writing is shaped not only by enthusiasm, but by direct personal experience with the discipline, strategic thinking, and competitive mindset that poker demands.
Poker Experience & Perspective
My background gives me a practical understanding of what makes poker so compelling: the constant balance between logic and instinct, discipline and adaptation, preparation and pressure. Having spent years learning and playing different formats and later specializing in Heads-Up Sit and Go, I understand poker as more than a game of cards. For me, it is a space where strategy, psychology, focus, and decision-making meet in their purest form, and I write about the game from the perspective of someone who has lived it closely, both as a passionate student of the game and as a former professional player.
Rather than viewing poker simply as entertainment, I see it as one of the most intellectually engaging games a person can play. That perspective allows me to write about poker with both emotional authenticity and strategic respect, bringing readers closer to the reality of the game from the inside.

Passion & The Player Mindset
I approach poker writing with genuine enthusiasm, personal credibility, and a strong respect for the game’s complexity. My goal is not simply to describe poker from the surface, but to reflect the deeper reasons why it continues to captivate players: the mental challenge, the strategic depth, and the constant need for adaptation.
Because poker has been such an important part of my life, my writing is grounded in lived experience rather than distance. I understand both the excitement of discovering the game and the discipline required to pursue it seriously. That combination gives my work a voice that is both informed and relatable.
By combining personal history, professional playing experience, and a lasting passion for the game, I aim to create poker content that feels authentic, thoughtful, and engaging for readers who appreciate poker not only as a pastime but as a meaningful intellectual pursuit.
