Asia Pacific Poker Tour Manila begins – July 27 to August 6 at Okada Manila

Asia Pacific Poker Tour Manila - Oppening

The long-awaited day has finally dawned as Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) opens today in the heart of Manila, Philippines! With each passing year, this exciting poker festival has earned its reputation as the crown jewel of PokerStars LIVE in the Asian region, attracting players from every corner of the world.

Running from today, July 27 to August 6, 2023, the festival takes place at the Coral Lounge of world class Okada Manila. There are a total of 33 trophy events to conquer, four of which are backed by guarantees amounting to a combined PHP 30,000,000 (~USD 550,000). Seasoned poker players know that these guarantees are merely a starting point, as each edition has seen prize pools surpass all expectations.

APPT Manila Kick-Off

The first deal has already been tabled with the APPT Kick-Off underway at 3pm (local time). The event is highlighted by its PHP 3,000,000 (~USD 55,000) guarantee. At the time of posting 13 tables were running and 130 entries. Buy in is PHP 20,000 (~USD 365) with unlimited re-entries. Registration closes at 8:20pm and bags up at ITM of 15% of the field.

Last year the APPT Kick-Off witnessed a field of 583 entries to more than triple its guarantee however it paled in comparison to its largest turnout in 2019 with 923 entries for a PHP 12.9 Million prize pool. China’s Jinlong Hu championed that event and may make an appearance here having been seen at a recent live tournament in Asia.
