The featured APPT National drew 449 entries over three starting days to generate a guarantee-smashing prize pool of PHP 15,679,080 (~USD 268,325). At the end of Day 2, the final table was formed with Filipino Vivencio Nachor running just a few big blinds behind race leader Kaoru Kishimoto from Japan.

Within the first half hour, Nachor jumped out front, and continued to build his stack.  He amassed nearly half of the chips in play after eliminating Seokchul Hwang in 4th place.

Nachor’s momentum was halted on a cooler against Seungcheol Choi with AcKs improving to trips aces to survive Nachor’s KhKc. This sent Nachor plunging to 14 bb, the shortest for him all day.

Staging a comeback, Nachor landed a double up with QdJs that turned the straight then resumed grinding to even up with Choi and Kishimoto. The fast rise was met with an equally fast drop as Nachor lost multiple pots including a failed bluff.

Back to grinding, Nachor doubled up twice to regain control and once again was sent down in a big hand against Kishimoto. Nachor recovered some of the lost chips by finishing off Choi in 3rd place.

Nachor becomes the second player from the Philippines to win a shard trophy at the festival following APPT Open champion Florencio Campomanes.
