Rocking weekend at the 2020 World Series of Poker Online as another three bracelets found their way to new winners. The shining trio were Luis Assuncao Garla, Anatoly Suvorov, and Seth Fischer. The HK$ 8,000 No Limit Hold’em Asia Championship ran a lengthy 12 hours and 43 minutes before Luis Assuncao Garla “Xapilskinha” found himself at the top of the heap. The Brazilian outlasted 479 final day qualifiers to lock up his first ever WSOP gold bracelet and largest career score of HK$ 3,551,611.32 (~US$ 458,250). He also moved into pole position in the WSOP Asia Player of the Series race.
Playing on Natural8, Garla bagged his admission to “Team Bling “. His package will include a 6 month Team Bling Sponsorship and $ 15,000 Las Vegas Package ( $ 10,000 to cover buy-ins and $ 5,000 for expenses).
Garla’s win today was his 8th WSOP career cash and his first victory since 2014 when he won the Brazilian Series of Poker High Roller event for $ 35,641. Based on The Hendon Mob, Garla has collected over $ 518K in live circuit earnings with his largest take of $ 230.4K at the 2014 WSOP $10K World Championships Event. He trumped that figure today and has a signature gold to go with it. He joined two-time champion Yuri Dzivielevski and Marcelo Jakovjlevic Pudla “Marolo” in bringing home a win for Brazil to bump up the country”s tally to 9 bracelets.

The Asia Championship HK$ 8M GTD event drew 3,247 entries across 14 flights for a prize pool three times the guarantee, settling at HK$ 24,677,200 ( ~US$ 3,183,900). Recapping the action from the final two tables, bracelet holders Joao Vieira, Abhinav Iyer, and Paul Teoh missed a seat in the final table. For the latter Teoh, it would have been his fourth final table visit had he made it instead, finishing in a respectable 12th place.
Just before the ninth hour of play, misfortune fell on Dario Sammartino who shoved with 
only to be dominated throughout by Vladas Tamasauskas “Vladiator13” 
. This formed the final table led by Luis Assuncao Garla “Xapilskinha” who in looking forward, never relinquished his lead. Running second in chips was two-time WSOP ring winner Alan Schein “TheCockroach” and bringing up the rear was Kunal Bhatia “Alex_52” who was on his second final table appearance of the series.
Four hours into final table play, four players bowed out while each of the remaining players took credit. Ignacio Moron “Curandero” (9th) fell to Schein, Tamasauskas (8th) to Garla, Eduards Kudrjavcevs “IIIIIIIIiIII” (7th) to Alexandros Theologis “The Sheriff”, and Divanshu Khurana “d0rk21” (6th) to fellow countryman Bhatia.
From here on, the remaining players were guaranteed to score six digits. Chip leader Garla continued to dust the competition, eliminating Wenhao Peng “pwhwin” (5th) for his second head. Minutes after, Schein was denied a bracelet to match his two rings with Theologis delivering the harsh blow. Still ahead and stacked over half the chips in play, Garla lost two big pots to each of his challengers – Bhatia and Theologis – then recovered a good chunk upon railing Bhatia in 3rd place.
Great run for Bhatia who not only entered the final table as shortest stacked, he also overcame a near bust at five-handed where he dropped to 3 bbs against Peng on a dominated Ace. Bhatia did not improve on his previous 2nd place finish however he did score his largest WSOP cash of HK$ 1,804,690.52 (~US$ 232,800). He has now earned a whopping $ 440K on those two deep runs.
Heads up had Garla up 2:1 but it was Theologis who started off aggressive. He won a majority of the small pots to trim the gap but Garla answered with two big pots to pull away. The first showdown was to be the last. Garla

WSOP #56: $1,500 GGMasters WSOP Edition [ High Roller ] – Seth Fischer – $ 444,868.59
The High Roller edition of the GGMasters offered up a hefty $ 2.5 million guarantee and with 2,153 ponying up the $ 1,500 buy in, it crushed the figure to bits for a much richer $ 3,068,025 prize pool. After 13 hours of play, American pro player Seth Fischer “AberFroman” defeated Russian pro Arsenii Karmatckii “kastaban” to claim the title, the $ 444,868.59, and the signature WSOP bracelet. In addition, Fischer was awarded a $ 15,000 WSOP Europe Package.
For Seth Fischer “AberFroman”, this victory was a 12 year wait. Fischer’s first WSOP cash – which in fact was his first live tournament career cash – was in 2008 where he placed 2nd at the $ 2,500 No Limit Hold’em event for $ 330,519. Since then, he has been collecting WSOP cashes hoping for that maiden win, instead piling in 27 deep runs without a gold. That all changed today as he locked up the gold and the largest payout of his career. This win put him over $ 1.2 million in earnings.

Setting up the final table, eventual champion Seth Fischer “AberFroman” won a three-way showdown that sent Brazil’s “Pablo21311” out in 10th place. Sebastien Grax carried in the largest stack trailed closely by Karmatckii. Based on live stats, Karmatckii was the most decorated of the pack with over $ 1.2M in live tournament earnings. Back at the final table was Michael Nugent “MrFabulous” who finished a strong 4th place at the MILLIONAIRE MAKER event.
Action proceeded with Karmatckii displaying prowess by knocking out the first two players – Yonatan Basin “malakasos” (9th) and Clement Tripodi “Sea View” (8th). Sebastien Grax put the brakes on Lukas Parednis “VapeNation” (7th) then Nugent did the same to Dominykas Mikolaitis “MickeyMouse” (6th). At five handed, Fischer avoided the rail with 
finding an Ace to survive Karmatckii’s 
. Evaldas Aniulis “Man14c” (5th) was not as lucky with all his chips shipped by Karmatckii.
With half the table gone, Fischer began to rise. He doubled up through Nugent with pocket fives holding against Ace-King. The ailing Nugent lost the rest to Grax who claimed the lead for the first time. However, his rule quickly vanished when Fischer caught a lucky river trips to avoid the rail again (hand below).
From there, it was a grind to the finish. The next elimination took nearly an hour from the previous one. Karmatckii crippled Grax with 
trips to 
. Fischer claimed the rest of Grax’s chips to face Karmatckii ahead nearly 2:1. Despite Karmatckii winning numerous pots, Fischer held tight to his advantage. After widening to 9:1 gap, Fischer finally closed it out with top pair to a missed straight draw.

9,835 players flooded the online platform for the first freezeout event of the series – WSOP #57: 150 GGMasters WSOP Edition $ 1M guaranteed. This is now the largest single day turnout of the ongoing series. With only one bullet allowed, it was a brutal race for the bragging rights title. After 13.5 hours, Russia’s Anatoly Suvorov “Pohitrusha” shipped it, turning his lowly $ 150 to a sweet $ 183,525.90.
Based on his THM stats amounting to $ 178,947, most of Suvorov’s profits were gained at live events held in Cyprus. Last year he ran deep at the WSOP Europe Main Event for his first world series cash. His maiden victory today practically doubled his live tournament earnings.

Recapping the action at 12 remaining, Jean Francois Alexandre shipped a four way showdown to form the final table. Brazilian player “kreizy” took 10th, Israel’s “cbet” 11th, and recent bracelet winner Roberto Romanello in 12th place.
Out of the massive number of players that competed in this event, well known pros were of course in attendance. Many of them ran deep for a piece of the pot however none reached the final table. Instead, the round consisted of players with light career scores and each one seeking their first major title. For his four-way sweep, Alexandre earned the top spot.
Within ten minutes, Alexandre fattened further by booting William Overmire “OveyGG” (9th) however before the next drop, it was put out galore with Alexandre paying three double ups. One of them was to David Edelstein “Duvidl18” who used his newfound chips to eliminate Andre Grohnert “grohnaldo” (8th). Action continued at a slow pace, Amine Hamza “Barbe-N0ire” eventually railed Adam Cader ”4bbVirtuoso” (7th) then Hector Caldero “mendekua” suffered two hits to fall in 6th place.
At five remaining, Edelstein took the lead after cleaning out Alexandre (5th) but a few hands later, Edelstein lost a chunk to Suvorov with aces holding against King-Jack. This boost in chips sprung Suvorov to life, claiming the next two heads, Hamza (4th) and Hoseth (3rd). Against Hoseth, Suvorov rivered a flush to enter heads up against Edelstein up in the count. Fifteen minutes in, Edelstein switched it up then built a 4:1 advantage, however one costly flip to Suvorov was the beginning of the end for Edelstein. Suvorov’s
