World Poker Tour unveils schedule for first half of Season XXII

With 2023 in its last quarter to cap the year, event organizers are already preparing for the upcoming 2024 ahead especially with great recovery in the books festival after festival. This year has recorded highly successful tours left and right with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Major global brand, World Poker Tour is following the action through with the release of its Season XXII schedule for the first half of 2024. 

As we approach both the end of Season XXI and the WPT World Championship, we are proud to share the schedule for the first half of Season XXII,” stated WPT CEO Adam Pliska in its press release. “We worked vigorously with our casino partners to solidify dates for these impressive, value-packed festivals so that players can plan their 2024 schedules.

The annual festivities kicks off with its first of five main tours, WPT Cambodia at NagaWorld in Phnom Penh on January 17-30. The anticipated series is anchored by a $3,500 buy-in $1,000,000 guaranteed Championship Event beginning on the 25th. This stop is so far the only main tour to be held outside of the United States with the following four set for the spring months at locations California, Florida, and Oklahoma.

NagaWorld has been an excellent partner for us in recent years, hosting record-breaking WPT Prime events in each of the last two seasons,” noted Pliska. “It is a venue well fit for our first-ever Main Tour festival in Southeast Asia and prepared to expand the legacy of the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup,” the CEO added.

Following the season opening games in Southeast Asia, WPT returns to the Thunder Valley Casino, California for another round of tournaments highlighted by a similar $3,500 Main Event. Interestingly, a new addition joins the upcoming schedule with WPT Voyage hosting both a Prime and Main Tour festival from March 31st through April 6th. The games are deemed to set sail on a Virgin Voyage cruise aboard the Valiant Lady, departing and returning to port in Miami, Florida

Early April sees the tour jumping off to the coast of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, home of the biggest WPT festivals ever recorded. A last stop in Choctaw Casino Resort, Oklahoma wraps up the first half of 2024 with its $3,800 Championship Event looking to crown its newest champion on the festival’s concluding day.

Aside from the brand’s main tour offerings, WPT Prime is another segment not to miss with multiple stops across the globe starting off in the European region. From France to the Netherlands to Slovakia, WPT heads on to the Pacific Rim for its usual WPT Prime Gold Coast and returning WPT Prime Vietnam festivities. The Asian games will again be held at its partner casinos The Star Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and Crown Poker Club, Hanoi, Vietnam, for two weeks of action in each location. The last leg on schedule for the first half of Season XXII ends at Sanremo, Italy where its seventh €1,100 Main Event will play through.
