An action-packed day landed at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, South Korea for day three of the ongoing Red Dragon Poker Tour festivities, with its opening highlight, KPC Baby Dragon playing down to completion. Only 78 runners out of the 512 entry field headed back to the scene and saw China’s Wang Shengyong rise to become the last man standing by night’s end. Three side events including the first Single Day High Roller, likewise played down to a winner with China’s Jun Liu, Chao Xu, and Meng Guo emerging victorious.

Running on day four’s schedule, July 29th, are trophy events Pot Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty, Flip Out #1, and a final Hyper Turbo Bounty NLH to close the day. Qualifying rounds for the two-day Jeju Dragon Quest will also join the day’s festivities with its final games continuing on Tuesday, July 30th.
KPC Baby Dragon Final Day Recap
The KPC Baby Dragon Special Event drew in a combined total of 512 entries with each Day 1 flight having concluded down to 15%, and only 78 players remaining in contention for the lion’s share of the KRW 649,728,000 (~USD 469,160) prize pool. The day flew by with at least a dozen contenders falling short right at the initial hour, and saw Xiaosheng Zheng stack the highest by the first break. Xiaosheng scooped up a massive 70 BB pot after his pocket 
held against Yu Yunchao and Ma Hao’s overcards to propel him to the lead. However just two levels later, Xiaosheng saw his hopes of a victory get crushed after Zhang Rong scooped up his stack, with the latter’s 
sending his 
headed for the muck.
Zhang went on to deliver another elimination and rise to the lead with fifteen players left in the running. A short-lived advantage, Zhang quickly lost a chunk of his stack in a top pair battle against Cao Tingjia with Cao going on to lead the final games. The final table was set following the exit of Queen of Poker Celina Lin as Guo Biao sent her flopped top pair running, to trail Cao closely behind with second in chips.
The first casualty didn’t take long with Patrik Demus suffering a terrible bad beat by the hands of Guo. Zhang Rong just thirty minutes later followed suit, having dwindled down to 7 BB and eventually succumb in 8th place. The last female in play, Chen Wenwen soon after tabled two premium hands

to build a stack, and Han Tae Hoon amongst her victims. Two more levels played through before Ge Yunqing fell by the wayside as Cao spiked a straight by the river with

Five left in the running, Wang Shengyong went on to dust two stacks – Chen Jiahao and Guo Biao in 4th and 5th place respectively, and reach heads up play against Chen Wenwen with almost equal in chips. It only took less than an hour for Wang to relentlessly finish off his opponent, as he raked in two crucial pots which sent Chen Wenwen shooting down. The final hand saw Chen Wenwen call off for her last 8 BB with 
, only to be swept away as Wang tabled on board 
. Wang secures the victory, taking with him the KRW 132,654,000 (~USD 95,780) top prize, two trophies (Red Dragon Poker Tour and Korea Poker Cup), a RDPT Championship Event ticket and an exclusive Red Dragon Winner’s Jacket.
