Hello players! Welcome to opening day of U Series of Poker Vietnam!
Excitement has been building for months and now the moment has arrived, the first USOP live series in Vietnam. Starting today, April 14, and running through April 24, the place to be is the Crown Poker Club in capital city Hanoi. Throughout the eleven-day festival, a total of 28 trophies are up for grabs, including the glorious 18K gold Main Event trophy.
Opening day games have already kicked off with the Mystery Bounty VN₫ 2,500,000,000 (~US$ 106,600) guaranteed first on the floor. Day 1A got rolling at 11am. Plenty of time for stragglers to jump in with late registration closing at 3:40pm. If you miss that window, there are two flights available tomorrow.
Following the Mystery Bounty are three single day events which means the first side event trophies will be claimed by the end of the day. The High Roller Warm Up starts at 1pm. It features a VN₫ 900,000,000 (~US$ 38,400) guarantee. Buy in is VN₫ 33,000,000 (~US$ 1,400). Registration closes at 6:30pm. At 3pm is the Deepstack with buy in of VN₫ 4,500,000 (~US$ 190), and for evening warriors is the Hyper Turbo at 8pm with buy in of VN₫ 3,400,000 (~US$ 145).
Expect big prizes at USOP Vietnam

About USOP
If you are just hearing of USOP, the spritely new brand staged its first live event in Taiwan last February and instantly impressed the poker world. With its affordable US$ 660 buy in, it set a country record attendance of 1,043 Main Event entries. The US$ 600K Main Event prize pool was also at par with some of the well known tours in Asia.
About Crown Poker Club
The Crown Poker Club is the largest poker room in Hanoi. Its 700 square meter space can hold up to 36 tables. Up on a stage is a livestream feature table. Players need not go outside for food as the room is equipped with a full kitchen. CPC is host to some of the biggest brands such as the World Poker Tour. The venue is located on the 7th floor of the NHS Center in Dong Da, Hanoi.
About Hanoi
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam however it is not as bustling as Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). It has a more rural vibe with the locals seemingly on a slower pace. Like every city, there are many tourist attractions.
Among the most interesting are the Old Quarter, Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural which runs for 4 kilometers along the Red River, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and Train Street. The Temple of Literature is just walking distance from CPC. Hanoi is also surrounded by many lakes. Taking a stroll at West Lake and Hoan Kiem Lake is a must for nature lovers.
