The past two days at USOP Hai Phong  champions now crowned. Most impressive were Xinxing Tang and Ton Le Thanh Long, both players lifting their second series titles. This sent both players to the top of the USOP Player of the Series race with Tang as the front runner.

The festival continues at the Dream Dragon Resort in Hai Phong, Vietnam until September 23, 2024. There are still 40 trophies up for grabs and of course the exclusive USOP POTS ring.

Second trophy for Xinxing Tang and Ton Le Thanh Long

Immediately after bagging up at Championship Event Day 1B, China’s Xinxing Tang jumped in the Win The Button event and went on to ship it for his second trophy this series! Tang’s first victory was at Event 5: 7-Handed Hyper Turbo. This was also his fourth cash. Tang is now one of the top contenders for the USOP Player of the Series title. On Tang’s latest win, he overcame the 20-entry field for a payout of VN₫ 33,800,000 (~US$ 1,377).

Another player has clinched a second event here at USOP Hai Phong. Joining Xinxing Tang in the exclusive multi-winners club is Ton Le Thanh Long who won the Pot Limit Omaha – Turbo for his second series title. Yesterday, Long won the Double Board event. We should see him move into the upper ranks in the USOP Player of the Series race.

On his latest win, Long triumphed over a field of 16 entries (13 unique). At three-handed with the bubble at hand, the players opted to each get VN₫ 26,000,000 (~US$ 1,060) then the remaining VN₫ 3,216,000 (~US$ 130) and the trophy reserved for the eventual winner. Long persevered to pocket VN₫ 29,216,000 (~US$ 1,190) and his second trophy.

Joris Michl lifted his first ever USOP trophy at Day 4’s Mini High Roller event. Michl outlasted the 27-entry field to lock up the top prize of VN₫ 218,268,000 (~US$ 8,890).

Le The Hung amassed a monster stack during the bubble round and kept it intact to the end to win the Weekend Special. With no prior stats on Hendon Mob, Le may well have earned his first ever live tournament victory and payout of VN₫ 155,040,000 (~US$ 6,315).

The Weekend Special drew 86 entries (69 unique) at VN₫ 6,600,000 (~US$ 264) each for a prize pool of VN₫ 485,040,000 (~US$ 19,760). The top 11 earned a piece of that pot.

Traveling all the way from South Africa for his first ever USOP festival, Marc Joseph dominated the action, raking in pot after pot that by heads up, it was no contest. He clinched the Short Deck event, outlasting the 24-entry field. After the win, Joseph was relieved and ecstatic,

“It’s a small one but finally!”

Indeed, a win is a win and for Joseph the curse of near victories at numerous events in Asia was finally lifted. He locked up the first prize payout of VN₫ 112,800,000 (~US$ 4,600) and won his first ever USOP hardware.

After nearly 15 hours, Bo Li emerged as champion to ship the VN₫ 600,500,000 (~US$ 24,465) top prize and his first USOP trophy.
