India’s Meherzad Munsaf stole the spotlight at Day 1B of the U Series of Poker MAIN EVENT as he topped the 48 Day 1B survivors with a chip stack of 989,000 (65 bb). Munsaf has been seen at the festival since opening day with a few cashes already under his belt. Getting warmed up proved very effective as he earned the second overall spot in the Day 2 chip counts. Multi-decorated USOP high roller champion Hoang Hai Nam bagged up the heat’s second largest of 854,000 (57 bb).

Vishal Ojha

Other players seen in action were USOP Main Event champions Edwin Dela Cruz and Vishal Ojha. For the latter Ojha, he bagged up 314,000 (21 bb) however not so fortunate for Dela Cruz who fell on the bubble. During the hand, WPT Prime Vietnam champion Nguyen Duy Thuc three-bet jammed with Ah5h, Dela Cruz risked his lesser 11 bb stack with JcJs, the board ran Qh2h7h9h10c for a victorious nut flush to Nguyen.
