Over a week of thrilling nonstop poker done and dusted at U Series of Poker season . Games are ongoing at Furama Resort in the gorgeous coastal destination of Danang, Vietnam. South Korea’s Yo Hwan Lim aka BoxeR defeated hot running Taiwanese pro Nevan  Yu Chung Chang at the finals of the Heads Up Challenge for his first ever USOP title and a cool VN₫ 552,900,000 (~$22,930). Leading up to the finals, Lim eliminated Bjorn Vuilliomenet (Round 1), Zhiwen Deng (Round of 16), Roland Kivi (Quarter-Finals), and Vitaliya Dubovik (Semi-Finals).

China’s Dong Yixuan became the second player at the series to achieve the difficult task of winning not one but two trophies! Days prior, Dong shipped the Bounty Hunter Turbo then followed it up with a victory at 5-Card PLO. She topped the 107 entry field for an ICM deal payout of  VN₫ 90,200,000 (~$3,715).

Impressively, this was not the first time Dong has won two events at a single festival. Last month, she won two events at the WPT Vietnam Passport to the WPT Championship.

Well known Taiwanese Hua Wei Lin dominated the action amassing over half the chips in play by three-handed. Despite some setbacks, losing the chip lead, she persevered, defeating Choi Eunyoung at heads up with 7s3s higher straight over Qd2h straight on a board 3h5s4h6c6h.

DO XUAN HUAN wins maiden title at High Roller Megastack

USOP High Roller events continue to bring in over a hundred entries and for the High Roller Megastack, it was the biggest yet with 141 entries for a handsome prize pool of VN₫ 9,873,900,000  (~$394,550). Day 1 ended with Hong Kong’s Sparrow Cheung winning the flip with 9s9h against Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huy‘s AhKc. Korea’s Seungmook Jung bagged the chip lead and went on to reach the final table in Day 2, eventually falling in 7th place.

After three final tables and no win, the fourth was the charm for Australia’s Natalia Rozova who outlasted the 87 entry field at Pot Limit Omaha. Rozova defeated Roland Norietis at heads to rein in the VN₫ 209,000,000 top prize and a here first USOP trophy. Rozova is one of just a few players that has cashed at the final table four times.

At heads up, Rozova lost the first showdown to double up Norietis, On a flop 7d6sJh, aggressor Rozova raised all in with Js5s10h8h top pair, Norietis called and won with KdQcJs2c higher kicker after the turn 7c and river Ah. Another big one at the series! Joining the trend was the Freezeout event which drew 161 players, that’s 100 more than the previous edition. Delfino Ty shipped it to lock up a first trophy for the Philippines.

Leading up to his win, at three-handed Ty won a flip against Kittipat Poochaneeyangkoon with Kh9h spiking the King to dust 2c2s. The once chip leader Poochaneeyangkoon then crashed in 3rd place, falling to Filipino Jeorge Lagatuz. This ensured a title for the flag. Ty was ahead in the count and offered a chop, Lagatuz turned it down then thought otherwise when he was down 2:1. Ty went on to win it with {6h]6d over Ah5d on a board KcJs10c8c5s.
