Welcome to opening day of the much awaited World Poker Tour Prime Cambodia here at NagaWorld Phnom Penh! The opening ceremony dazzled the crowd with a live dance number followed by a short speech by WPT Live Events Specialist, Danny McDonagh. With him were Connaissance Management Directors Bryan Huang and Kelvin Chua, CEO of Finance Cherchi Chen, and VP of Casino Marketing Chris Tessitore

“We are so excited to have players here, this opening event is way beyond my expectations We have the Main Event coming on August 18 to 22, and I am expecting over a million dollars in the prize pool for that event, way up on the WPT Asia Open Event in 2019 of 750 entries.”

The introductory speech closed with the official joining of hands and customary poker address “Shuffle up and deal!” With that, the WPT Prime Cambodia Opener kicked off. This event offers great value to poker players as it features a US$ 150,000 guarantee for a buy in of just US$ 550. In addition to today’s heat are three other starting flights followed by Day 2/Final Day. Each flight plays down to ITM. Registration for tonight’s heat closes at 10:20pm. The event runs from August 11 to 14. You can check out the links provided for the schedule, times, starting stacks, and structures.
