PS LIVE Manila Megastack 18: Day 2 and Day 3 winners

 

Poker is heating up in the Philippines with PokerStars LIVE Manila Megastack 18 providing all of the exciting action. The festival kicked off on February 15, 2024 and is scheduled to run through February 25, 2024. Out of the 39 shiny PS spades on the mantle, nine have already been spoken for. Event 3: Kickoff – MICHAEL DE LEON

The Kickoff Event drew 368 entries over three starting flights to easily crush the guarantee for a much richer PHP 5,183,059 (~USD 92,600) prize pool. 53 players earned a cut with the final three opting on an ICM deal. Philippine player Michael De Leon was crowned champion and walked away with the largest cash prize of PHP 763,000 (~USD 13,630) plus an APPT Manila Package, and of course one of the coveted PS Spade trophies.

Other finishers were top grossing Philippine player Marc Rivera in 8th place, Day 2 chip leader Terry Gonzaga in 20th place, and defending champion Alvir Inocentes in 44th place.

Including his own bounty reward, Tan pocketed PHP 60,000 plus the first prize payout of PHP 189,364, for a combined PHP 249,364 (~USD 4,460). This was Tan’s second ever PS spade trophy with his first at the Manila Megastack 17 Mixed NLH/PLO game.
