Singaporean poker player Sam Jereld En Zhi, known popularly as Jereld Sam, is best known for his record-breaking Mystery Bounty Hunter win at APT Hanoi Billions in December 2023. As the event’s 1,115-strong field dwindled, Sam beat out the remaining 157 to take home VND 1,273,625 (USD 52,435). This big win marked Sam’s maiden APT title but not his first APT appearance.

Sam has competed in other APT factions, including Cambodia, Ho Tram, Manila, and Taipei. Second to his stint in APT Hanoi Billions, his next-best run occurred in the Mystery Bounty event at Poker Dream Taiwan in June 2023, where he won NTD 748,000 (USD 24,407).

The young player makes frequent appearances at poker events in the Philippines, namely APPT Manila, Manila Megastack, and PokerStars LIVE Road to PSPC Manila, placing first in the latter twice.

Sam has snatched other first-place titles at the GPI Asia Poker Festival Season 2, APF Hanoi, WPT Prime Taiwan, and Poker Dream Taiwan. His total live earnings are just on the cusp of USD 200,000.
