Almedin “Ali” Imsirovic is a Bosnian-American professional poker player who became one of the most dominant high-stakes tournament crushers in history before becoming the center of the game’s largest cheating scandals. A former GPI Player of the Year, Imsirovic’s career is defined by a meteoric rise to the top of the High Roller circuit and a subsequent fall following allegations of multi-accounting and real-time assistance (RTA).

Career Earnings & Biggest Results

With total live tournament earnings surpassing $18,769,000 (according to The Hendon Mob), Imsirovic remains the #1 ranked player on the Bosnia & Herzegovina All-Time Money List. His career-best live score of $1,118,707 was achieved with a second-place finish at the 2019 Super High Roller Bowl London. While he has yet to secure a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, he has 29 cashes and three final tables at the series. Imsirovic was a dominant force on the Triton Poker Series and PokerGO Tour, winning a record-breaking 14 high rollers in 2021 alone. His historical success contributes to an estimated poker net worth of over $10 million.

Biography & Poker Background

Born in 1995 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Imsirovic moved to the United States at age three. Like many of his peers, he was an avid athlete, but ankle injuries shifted his competitive focus from basketball to poker. He dropped out of Washington State University just one semester shy of graduating to pursue poker full-time. In 2018, at age 23, he captured the poker world’s attention by winning the Poker Masters Purple Jacket. However, his reputation took a severe hit in 2022 when he was accused of systemic cheating, including the use of RTA and collusion. In 2023, Imsirovic admitted to multi-accounting in a public video, though he denied more severe allegations. Despite being banned from major outlets like PokerGO, he continues to appear at various local stops and select WSOP events as of early 2026.

Play Style & Strategy

Imsirovic is renowned for a “relentless, high-frequency” play style that leveraged massive volume to overwhelm opponents. His strategy was built on a foundation of elite GTO (Game Theory Optimal) study, but his real-world results were fueled by an aggressive frequency of three-bets and four-bets that forced opponents into high-variance decisions. He was widely considered one of the hardest workers in the game, frequently playing every high-roller event available globally. However, his strategy has been retroactively overshadowed by his admission of using unfair advantages online. In live settings, he maintains a “robotic” and disciplined table presence, often utilizing a small, tight range of physical movements to deny info—a trait common among players with deep backgrounds in WSOP and Triton Poker Series elite fields.
