March 29th to April 3rd will see J88Poker bringing another live tournament festival to players. There was a strong turnout for their previous festival back in December, which drew a crowd of over 360 players and created a record-breaking prize pool of NT$ 6,235,606. Taiwan hosted the previous instalment, and the 6-day event this time will take place there too at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP).
NT$5 million guaranteed Main Event
The Main Event will of course be the star attraction. The guarantee has been increased to NT$5 million (US$162,247), with the buy in set at NT$25,000 (US$811,31). For the lucky winner, there is an entry into the WSOP Main Event waiting (included in the prize pool), along with a gold bracelet and plenty of prize money. Day 1A of the Main Event kicks off on March 30th. Day 1B will begin the following day, with day 1C starting on April 1st. The final table will be played on April 3rd.
Other events
There will be a range of different events on offer, including a 2-day NT$8,800 Opening Event (US$285,54) which gets underway on March 29th. The NT$6,000 Deep Stack Turbo tournament (US$194,69) begins on the evening of March 30th, plus a special NT$6,000 Short Deck tournament (US$194,69) starting on the evening of March 31st.
An NT$8,800 PLO event (US$285,54) kicks off on the afternoon of April 1st, but the festival really heats up on April 2nd, with a NT$6,600 Super KO Bounty event (NT$214,15), Day 1 of the NT$88,000 High Roller (NT$2,855) and Day 1 of the NT$11,000 Monster Stack (US$356,99) all getting underway on the same day.
The final day will see the Monster Stack and High Roller reaching their grand finale. In addition, there will be a NT$12,000 Pair Event (NT$389,43) and the NT$8,800 J88Cup (US$285,54) to round off the festival. Champions of the Monster Stack and J88 Cup will get golden rings.

Team Event
A special NT$60,000 buy-in Team Event is also scheduled on March 29th. If you plan to play the Team Event, be sure to register early, as only 24 teams will be allowed to participate, each representing their chosen city or country in a 3-day mixed games event. The previous instalment saw 21 teams taking part, creating a prize pool of NT$1,260,000.
Online Satellites
Online Satellites to the Main Event are already available on J88Poker. The Main Satellite runs every Sunday at 20:30 (CST), with a ₵9,000 ($90) buy-in.
