Day 6 at the inaugural WPTDeepStacks Hanoi was the start of the series headliner Main Event with VNđ 4 billion (~US$ 173,500) guaranteed in tow. 19 players found their way to the felt with 3 re-entering for a total of 22 entries. After 15 rounds of scheduled play, only five players remained. They will have a three day break before returning for Day 2.

With one day down, the Main Event continues on the next four days with the final table taking place on April 25. Up next is Day 1B which kicks off on Thursday, April 22 at 1130am (local time). Buy in for this prestigious event is VNđ 22,000,000 (~US$ 954). Players start with a 30,000 stack, which is 300 times the starting blinds of 100 – 100 ante 100. Day 1B and Day 1C will see the blinds increase every 40 minutes while the afternoon Day 1D heat runs a faster 25 minutes. The Short Deck event was the only tournament that reached the finish line. At heads up, Tommy Ngo Anh Quan and Huynh Ngoc Cuong opted to split the remaining cash down the middle and flip for the trophy. Ngo won it and became the seventh winner of the series. This built an impressive prize pool of VNđ 2,473,500,000 (~US$ 107,291). Among the 17 advancing players were Terry Nguyen, Quang Nguyen, Nguyen Van Sang, and All Bankrolls winner Nguyen Quang Huy. Hong Kong player Chi Chung Ho bagged up the second largest stack. When they return on Thursday, April 22, they will be hunting down the money which starts at 7th place.
