It was redemption time for the Thai pro Phachara Wongwichit who bubbled in 3rd place at the US$ 10K buy-in High Stakes Challenge. Last night, Wongwichit triumphed at the US$ 2,200 buy-in High Roller Single Day overcoming a field of 54 entries (44 uniques, 10 re-entries).

At 8 remaining, bubble assassin Ping Liu (he delivered the bubble at the Megastack Freezeout and the Super High Roller) was denied by Thomas Ward with holding against Ax on a brick board. With the final 7 now all in the money, bust outs were quick. At three-handed Wongwichit rivered Ward’s with KsQd pairing up the lady. This brought about heads up against Asaf Berman with Wongwichit ahead 7:1. The final hand saw both all in on a flop Add SMPBONUS RocketPlay Promo Code. The two day PLO event ignited 83 to action at US$ 550 each for a prize pool of US$ 40,255. Due to the large crowd at the Main Event, the event was held at NagaRock just one floor below. Day 1 ended with 18 players remaining and the money seven spots away.

On the final day, bust outs were quick and soon the final table was reached. Alike the High Stakes Challenge where Victor Chong placed 2nd to fellow countryman Choon Tong Siow, it was another Malaysian battle for the title – Chong versus Ming Hong Teoh. After one heads up round, the players struck an ICM deal that guaranteed Teoh a slightly higher payout for his bigger stack. They played for the trophy.

The final hand came quite soon with both all in on a flop .
