With a guaranteed prize pool of US$500,000 for a buyin of US$1,100, the Won Poker Cup Main Eventdebuted with flying colors as Nguyen Chanh Tin leads a pack of 22 players into Day2 of this inaugural event with 388,000 in chips.

Following Tin closely, Nguyen Duc Thanh bagged 352,000 chips as second in chip lead. Tin will have to be careful maintaining his chip lead coming into Day2 considering his compatriot’s experience over his.

The first flight of Day1 attracted 133 players which included some of the most familiar names in the Asian poker industry. Every 40-minute level was filled with tension as the players attempted to survive to make it to Day2. Some of those prestigious names, however, fell short of qualifying.
