USOP Taiwan Day 9 winners: Webster Lim triumphs against Nevan Chang at Heads Up Challenge; Ming Nan Chou, Dae Woong Song, Po Wen Fang win events

WEBSTER CHIN WEI LIM denies Nevan Chang the Heads Up Challenge title
The exciting two-day Heads Up Challenge brought together an A-list lineup of 18 contenders, featuring defending champion Yo Hwan “BoxeR” Lim and the previous runner-up Nevan Yu Chung Chang. In a thrilling quarterfinals showdown, Chang and Lim faced off, and this time Chang emerged victorious, securing his place in the semifinals. He went on to defeat Malaysia’s Foo Lai Heng for a back-to-back Heads Up Challenge finals berth.
In the other bracket, Malaysia’s Webster Chin Wei Limcleaned out the competition, finishing off Japan’s Nobuaki Sasaki at the quarters and South Korea’s Jae Sung Lee in the semis to meet Chang at the finals.
The long and intense match concluded with Lim outdueling Chang to capture his first ever USOP title and a cool NTD 357,400 (~USD 11,500) payout. As for Chang, he had to settle for another runner-up finish in this event.

MING NAN CHOU wins first USOP title at Bubble Rush
It was fast action at get-go with 40 runners charging at the Bubble Rush event. The event started with 15 minute levels that increased to 25 minutes after the bubble burst. After nine hours of play, Taiwan’s Ming Nan Chou closed it out for his first USOP title and a payout of NTD 143,200 (~USD 4,600). Also running deep event winner France’s Vincent Chauve in 3rd place.

Taiwan continues to rake in trophies with Po Wen Fang becoming the 18th player to take down an event. Fang outlasted the 86 entry field of the evening’s Deepstack Hyper Turbo to claim the NTD 118,500 (~USD 3,815) top prize and his first USOP trophy.
